Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park 130 kilometers drive - two hours
After breakfast at the hotel, you leave early to the Tarangire National park. This is the third largest park in Tanzania and it is characterized by the amazingly large herds of elephants that can be encountered in this park. The Baobab trees are one of the other highlights of Tarangire and the Tarangire River that flows all year round is the lifeblood of the park. Many animals; predators and the prey alike gather around the river where you can do excellent game viewing. Dinner and overnight are at Fanaka campsite.
Day 2: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, you descend into the heart of wild Africa - the Serengeti National Park - with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see.
You head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the Park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti's species. You arrive in time for lunch at Nabi gate and enjoy the late two-hour afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight in the Seronera Campsite
Day 3 and 4: Serengeti game drive
After breakfast, he continues with both morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti National Park. Remember this is the migration safari, so as Serengeti is very large as your game drives will depend on the move of the migrants, your guide knows very well how to locate the herds.
The Serengeti National Park is famous for the ‘Great Migration’, over one million wildebeest and two hundred thousand plus zebras each year follow the rains. In October and November, they travel from the mountains of the north, southwards to the plains seeking lush pastures. After the great rainy season in April, May, and June the herds then make their return ward journey.
Even without this mass migration, the Serengeti is still an exciting and spectacular place that still cannot fail to enthrall. Dinner and overnight at Seronera Nyani Campsite.
Day 5: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
After a relaxing morning and an early lunch, you will have early in the morning game drive in Serengeti later back to the campsite for branch and hot lunch, Your driver and cook will load everything on the top of a safari jeep after then continuous with game drive while looking to be our of Serengeti to proceed to Ngorongoro.
Today, you will be doing a game viewing en-route during your way from Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater. You will be in Ngorongoro Crater late in the evening where the night will be spent on the crater rim. Dinner and overnight will be at Ngorongoro Simba Campsite.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater back to Arusha
Today, you will have early breakfast and proceed directly to the crater floor for a five-to-six-hour crater tour with picnic lunch down the crater whereby you will be able to see all the "Big Five". Later, you will proceed back to Arusha in the evening. At the end of your tour, Foot Slopes Tours & Safaris will drop you off at the airport.
