This tour offers the nature's marvel of Drakensberg and Zulu, named "Barrier of Spears" or "Dragon Mountains", which is awe-inspiring and full of wonder. With this package, you will definitely experience the South African pristine beauty, and just when you think it cannot get any better, you will be exposed to total indulgence in a myriad of wildlife experiences! A very special slice of Africa, the iSimangaliso Wetland Park and much more await you.
You will be accommodated for 6 nights in several accommodations including Moorcroft Manor Country House, Umlilo Lodge, and Hilltop Camp. Accommodation on the day or days prior to the start of the tour as well as overnight accommodation at the end of the tour can be arranged at an additional cost. In case an accommodation is fully booked, Flight of the Eagle will suggest a comparable alternative.
Depart Johannesburg, then travel to uKhahlamba Drakensberg Park (World Heritage Site). You will explore the wonders of the Drakensberg Midlands Meander. You will reach your destination in the late afternoon. You will stay for two nights in the Southern Drakensberg at Moorcroft Manor Country House - breakfast and dinner included.
After breakfast, you'll travel up Sani Pass to visit the highest “pub” in Africa. Please note that passport is required. Afterward, you'll return in the late afternoon.
After breakfast, you'll travel to St Lucia Estuary (World Heritage Site). In the late afternoon, you will join a boat cruise through the iSimangaliso Wetland Park. Your overnight stay will be in St Lucia at Umlilo Lodge - breakfast and dinner included.
After an early breakfast, you'll enjoy the best deep-sea experience possible and view a 40-ton whale from as close as 100 meters from a boat in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean (June-November), or take an Advantage Cruiser and explore Lake St. Lucia for hippos, crocs, fish eagles, herons, mangroves, kingfishers, mudskippers, etc.
After breakfast, you'll travel to the Hluhluwe area (the home of the black rhino) of Hluhluwe–Imfolozi Park. Your overnight stay will be at the Hilltop Camp. The camp is renown for its most spectacular views. You will stay there for two nights - breakfast and dinner included. Later, you will go for a late-afternoon game drive in an open game-viewing vehicle.
After an early morning breakfast, you'll depart for the Umfolozi area where you'll go looking for the Big Five! You'll return in the late afternoon for an early dinner. Later that night, you will do a night game drive in an open game-viewing vehicle.
After a relaxing breakfast, you will depart back to Johannesburg and arrive approximately at 18:00.
You can add an optional visit to a cultural village on the second day of your trip.
