"A colleague set this up for us at the last minute. Tour guide was early to the hotel and we were out right on time. It was a bit of a drive from where I was staying but we got there at 8am to find out the the tour departure time had been moved back to 6am instead. Not a problem. Tour guide arranged a driver and vehicle and off we went. This was the parks vault and not his and because of this they gave us an extra hour in the park. Both our guide and the driver were full of information about the animals as we came across them. And all in all an absolutely neat experience. After the tour our guide took us to a place where you can eat lunch and feed giraffes and pet lions and cheetahs. They offer other tours but because this was all the time we had. Will hopefully get a chance to come back to Africa and bring the family with me."

"Elize and Johan are some of the most beautifully genuine people I have ever met. They went above and beyond in every aspect to make my experience authentic and magical. I am a 28-year-old single woman who took a solo 2-month trip around the world. South Africa was my last stop before returning back to the hustle and bustle of the real world. I was nervous to travel alone to South Africa and wanted to find a group who would make me feel safe but still have the knowledge and expertise to provide a great safari experience. I stumbled across Flight of the Eagle online and it was such a blessing. They not only coordinated their part of my journey, they helped me coordinate all of my travel in SA. For my convenience and safety, they picked me up in Hoedspruit after a week-long volunteer project. I immediately felt like I had met new lifelong friends. When booking the trip, I spoke of wanting an authentic SA experience and did they deliver! They cooked the most amazing South African braai’s in the evening with local fares and beverages. Elize even prepares snack bags of your favorite goodies for the drives. The accommodations were more than perfect. They stayed nearby and I always felt extremely safe. Neighboring Kudu, impala, warthogs, and zebras frequented the yard in the evenings. We spent the evenings talking about life and reminiscing over our sightings from the day. I had to pinch myself multiple times at night when I would lay in bed and hear lions roaring in the park. "

"When I look back on this trip I will never forget the safari experience that Flight of the Eagle provided. I had a game viewer to myself and a trip completely tailored to what I wanted to see. I saw more than most and learned even more. Johan has an uncanny knack for finding rare sightings. He understood that capturing the moments with my Canon were important to me and made every consideration to make sure I got the perfect shot. My list of sightings was above and beyond what I could have hoped for. I had more than 10 lion sightings including lions mating, on kills, on the move, and even a lion crossing a river. Some of my most favorite sightings included: wild dogs on a kill, 150+ elephants in a watering hole, black rhino, and of course the leopard sighting. As my last day approached I had seen everything but a leopard. I desperately wanted to get a glimpse of one but, I understood that they are so elusive and I would have to get lucky. As luck and Johan's persistence would have it, on my last day and in my last hour I got a sighting of a lifetime. Two gorgeous leopards went bounding across the rocks right in front of us. I think I screamed, cried, and danced around for the next 3 hours. Johan and his instincts are the only reason I was able to experience this amazing sighting. He made the decision to wait at this spot after most game viewers had left in disappointment. The photographs came out unreal and I will never forget the joy that we shared together. It was a perfect ending to a perfect week. They delivered me to the airport and actually walked me all the way to security. Tears were shed as I felt like I was leaving family. I could not recommend Johan and Elize more. They are the kind of people you cherish for a lifetime."

"If you are looking for a safe, authentic, and tailored experience Flight of the Eagle is for you. I am a bucket list traveler and rarely return to places already visited, but I will absolutely be back to SA to spend another amazing week with Johan and Elize. Thank you both for making my experience so memorable. I never expected to leave feeling like I had an SA family. You both are so special and always in my heart. I can't wait to see you again someday!"

"Elise together with her partner, Johan are not just professional and knowledgeable, but also very friendly and warm! The trip planning was a breeze with efficient and prompt Elize attending to my email inquiries. I’m delighted that I’ve chosen to book my Pilanesberg National Park trip with Flight of The Eagles Safaris & Tours. Though only spending hours with them between Johannesburg airport and Pilanesberg National Park, the journey was always filled with information and laughter. It was a real pleasure to get to know Elize and Johan. They really helped enrich my experience in Johannesburg! Before I left for the airport, I felt I had made two new friends in South Africa! If I ever get back to South Africa, I will definitely not hesitate to seek their expertise again!"

"Our trip was incredible, all thanks to the founders and owners of Flight of the Eagle - Johan and Elize."

"They took the effort to get to know us, and went to great lengths to accommodate our every need, and customize our trip - thus making our vacation both comfortable and memorable. We loved all our lodging and boarding arrangements, as well as all the sightseeing we did. Johan and Elize are scrupulously honest and extremely knowledgeable. They are warm and friendly, and most important genuine. Johan and Elize are not just tour operators. They are also dedicated honorary rangers, and spend a portion of their free time to deal with pressing issues such as rhino conservation and educating children. They have a depth of knowledge about the behavior of animals, as well as the history and culture of this great land. Johan has a real sharp eyesight in the bush and can spot animals before anyone else can see them. We were left with many priceless memories, and would highly recommend Flight of the Eagles to everyone."
