You will head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the Park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. You will arrive in time for lunch at Nabi gate and enjoy an afternoon en route game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight in the Lobo area as per the standard type of accommodation option requested.
After having breakfast, you will experience a game drive following the animal migration at the Northern Serengeti. You can see wildebeests, zebras, topi hartebeests, elands, antelopes, hyenas, and various birds singing on the trees while viewing the beautiful landscape and nature.
Usually, in July, August, and beginning of November, the migration reaches its northern range in which the herds cross the grasslands on either bank of the crocodile-infested Mara River twice, as they complete their migration. You will also be able to enjoy the sunset at Serengeti between 6:20 - 6:40 p.m. after the game drive before returning and staying overnight and dinner in Kogatende area as per the standard type of accommodation option requested.
After a relaxing morning and an early lunch, you will proceed to Ngorongoro. Today, you will be doing a game viewing en-route during your way from Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater. You will be in Ngorongoro Crater late in the evening where the night will be spent on the crater rim. Dinner and overnight will be at Simba campsite or other accommodations options if requested.
After breakfast, you will depart for the descend down the crater for a five-to-six-hour game drive. In the crater, you are able to view the Big Five. Serengeti National Park, in northern Tanzania, is known for its massive annual migration of wildebeest and zebra. Seeking new pasture, the herds move north from their breeding grounds in the grassy southern plains. Many cross the marshy western corridor’s crocodile-infested Grumeti River. Others veer northeast to the Lobo Hills, home to black eagles. Black rhinos inhabit the granite outcrops of the Moru Kopjes.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is a protected area and a World Heritage Site located 180 kilometers (110 miles) west of Arusha in the Crater Highlands area of Tanzania. The area is named after Ngorongoro Crater, a large volcanic caldera within the area. The conservation area is administered by the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority, an arm of the Tanzanian government, and its boundaries follow the boundary of the Ngorongoro Division of the Arusha Region.
During your stay, you will be provided with daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Vegetarian and other special diets can be accommodated. Please let Fig Tree Tours and Travel know ahead of time. Protein options may be minimal on a vegetarian diet, so you may want to bring protein supplements.
