Enjoy a safari adventure full of fun and excitement in Amboseli National Park, a diverse and breathtaking national park that has a contrasting landscape that supports a huge variety of wildlife and plain game. There are over 47 different types of raptors that can be found there, as well as some of the largest elephants in Africa. Come, join, and experience a perfect safari adventure ever!
For two nights, you will be staying in Kibo Safari Camp, a tented camp in Amboseli National Park at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. With splendid views of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, the camp has self-contained tents for single, double, triple, and family accommodation. The beds have been custom-designed and locally made using bush logs and will ensure a good night’s sleep.
All tents have flush toilets, showers, and wash basins. You can enjoy your shower as you like: bubbling hot or refreshing cold. If you fancy a romantic dinner by the pool under the stars, all meals can be taken in privacy away from the main dining area under the open skies.
You will drive from Nairobi for a scenic drive to Amboseli National Park. The main Nairobi-Mombasa road leads southeast, falling around 500 meters from the 1,661 meters altitude of Nairobi to Emali. From Emali, the road runs south before turning in a northwesterly direction and passing to the north of Mount Kilimanjaro before reaching Amboseli. Approximate journey time is four to five hours. The route details and journey times may vary depending on road conditions.
You will arrive at the lodge in time for lunch and later you will have an afternoon game drive through the Amboseli National Park. The compact park is abundant with wildlife and allows you for excellent game viewing. Its vegetation consists of a combination of sprawling grasslands, swampy springs, and dry dusty earth. Amboseli is most famous for its large elephant populations, with the bulls having some of the biggest tusks in the world.
From Observation Hill, you will have a view of the entire park and especially the swamp areas where buffalo, elephants, hippos, and a diversity of water birds come to cool off and refresh themselves. Later, you will return to your camp for dinner and overnight at Kibo Safari Camp.
This is the day when you can discover the Amboseli National Park. You will spend a full day in the park with packed lunch. There will be morning and afternoon game drives. The park derives its name from the Masai word "empusel", meaning salty, dusty place. It is declared a national park in 1974 to protect its unique and fragile ecosystem. The Amboseli National Park offers landscapes of remarkable contrasts: arid zones alongside the lush oases of the swamps.
The ecosystem of this low rainfall region depends on water from Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895 meters). A particular feature of Amboseli is the possibility to take picture postcard photos of elephants against the backdrop of Kilimanjaro. Covering an area of 392 square kilometers, the park is, in addition to elephants, home to numerous animals who live alongside the Masai villages. Later, you will return to your camp for dinner and overnight at Kibo Safari Camp.
After an early morning game drive, you will return to your camp for sumptuous breakfast then depart Amboseli National Park for Nairobi. This is when your Amboseli safari adventure will end. You will then transfer to the airport for your flight home.

During this safari, you will enjoy daily delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You will also be provided with one bottle of water every day.
During your free time, you may want to dive yourself into the pool and relax. Aside from that, there are also other activities you can try to make the most of your safari trip:
You will be taken by van to a Maasai village where you will spend the day visiting the "manyattas" and experience their way of life. The Maasai people are an old nomadic tribe that lives in harmony with nature and is one of the few remaining tribes in Kenya that tries to hold on to their traditions. This is at an extra fee payable direct to the Maasai moran (Maasai guide) before the tour begins.
In the evening, from 9:00 to 9:30 p.m., the Maasai morans entertain the guest at the bonfire with their traditional dances and will also explain to you the meaning of their dances and song.
