The highlights of this safari include wildlife game drives in the big five Addo National Park, exploring the forests of Tsitsikamma to view century old yellow wood trees, the beautiful beaches of Nature's Valley, and Plettenberg Bay. On this safari, you will also explore Knysna, South Africa’s favorite town, and visit Oudtshoorn with its world-renowned Cango Caves and Ostrich Show farms.
Accommodation is in three or four star guest houses, lodges or apartments.
Some examples are Addo Rest Camp chalets, Knysna Quays or similar as depends on availability.
The departure is from Port Elizabeth International Airport (PLZ) or your hotel around mid-day. You will be transferred to Addo Elephant National Park and enjoy an afternoon game drive. You spend an unforgettable time in the park teeming with wildlife. Addo offers to view some of Africa's most impressive animals including elephants, lions, buffalos, black rhinos, leopards, kudus, a great variety of other antelope species, as well as birds, plants, insects, and reptiles. An optional night drive is available. The accommodation is in the Addo Rest Camp chalets or nearby private lodge. Dinner is included tonight.
After breakfast, you take the road towards the Garden Route, following the coastal road winding its way along river gorges over breathtaking mountain passes and through dense indigenous forests. Your exploration of this ancient forest includes a drive through Nature's Valley which winds its way through the tangle of trees, ferns, and creepers to massive Outeniqua yellowwood trees. Enjoy a short hike in the forest before heading down to the beach for a swim and lunch.
En route, guests may choose between a visit to Monkeyland or the Birds Of Eden(Optional at own cost). You pass through Plettenberg Bay to Knysna. Here guests may enjoy an optional yacht or boat sunset cruise on the Knysna Lagoon. Accommodation is in the Knysna Quays or Guest House.
After breakfast, you visit theKnysna Region. Explore the Knysna Heads, Coney Glen Beach, Brenton and Buffalo Bay. A forest hike is also available. The afternoon is free for optional activities such as Whale Watching or the popular Knysna Township Trail. Guests will be able to enjoy a typical South African barbeque at the Knysna Yacht Club.
After breakfast, there is time for a look at the arts and crafts market before you depart for Oudtshoorn. Your first stop is the Cango Caves. In the late afternoon, experience the Cango Ostrich Ranch. Your overnight stay is in Oudtshoorn.
You continue driving along the Route 62. The drive takes you through some wonderful mountain scenery until you reach the Cape Winelands. Enjoy a stop for lunch(optional) and a wine tasting before checking in to your accommodation which is situated on a wine estate. Enjoy a sunset walk among the vineyards. Dinner is included tonight.
You visit Stellenbosch in the morning where guests are taken on a tour of a wine cellar and enjoy a wine tasting. You stop at Spier Estate for an optional picnic lunch on the river bank. Continue on to Cape Town. Your accommodation is in the proximity of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. The evening is free to explore the waterfront.
A tour of the Cape of Good Hope. A visit yo Cape Point will reward you with the opportunity to witness the meeting of the mighty Atlantic and Indian Oceans. The wonderful mountainous scenery is coupled with quaint seaside villages such as Muizenberg, Kalk Bay, and Fish Hoek. There will be a stop at the False Bay Yacht Club for a Fish and Chips lunch.
The next stop is Cape Point where guests can enjoy a short hike to the Cape of Good Hope. The return journey takes you along the scenic Chapmans Peak Pass and Hout Bay. An optional visit to the top of Table Mountain will end the day.
The evening is free for you to Explore the Waterfront.
The morning is free to explore or take an optional visit to Robben Island. In the early afternoon guests are dropped off at Cape Town Airport or, for those that choose to spend more time in Cape Town, we will drop you off at your hotel.
