At the end of the last June, I had a wonderful safari trip to Tanzania where I spent almost nine days. As it was scheduled, I visited Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire.
It was planned to spend three days in Serengeti to enjoy its endless plains with game viewing. I enjoyed the experience of watching the animals migration to Maasai Mara. During my Serengeti safari, I watched most of Serengeti National Park animals.
My whole safari trip was arranged by Tomodachi Safaris which is run by Mr. Thomas who took care of everything. Mr. Thomas is a cooperative and very helpful person. He is friendly, too. Thank you Mr. Thomas for your effort and its really appreciated. The trip was well arranged.
Finally, Tomodachi Safaris provided me a good safari car and a very skilful driver. Philip was my driver (and the guide) through my nine day trip. He is an informative person especially in the African wild life.

I recently completed a four day safari operated by Bushbuck, following a climb of Mount Kilimanjaro organized by Alpine Ascents. The group was comprised of 9 individuals and Bushbuck provided two vehicles and two guides. The guides were Daudi Majengo and Frank Haruna and we explored Tarangire Park, the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti.
I was very impressed with the knowledge exhibited by the two guides, whether it was with respect to the vegetation, the animals, birds or local history. They also had an impressive ability to find the locations of the different animals.
At all times Daudi and Frank were also friendly and responsive to our questions and concerns...they clearly exhibited a passion for their work and were intent on making the trip a memorable and informative experience for the members of our group.
We stayed overnight at Sopa lodges and the accommodation and food was excellent. We all greatly appreciated having our successful climb serenaded at the Tarangire Sopa lodge by the staff...this was one of the highlights of the trip to me.
I will not hesitate to recommend Bushbuck to anyone interested on embarking on a Safari.

We recently hired a land cruiser and driver from Fortes Car Hire in Arusha for six days to tour several of the major game parks of Northern Tanzania. Everything about this transaction worked out perfectly. Abel, our driver/ guide was most friendly, spoke good English and was very knowledgeable about everything in the entire region. Abel was tireless in scouting for animals to see and ensuring that the vehicle was always in perfect condition. We can highly recommend Fortes. All our travel arrangements were made by way of long distance e-mails and everything (and more) was in place as promised upon our arrival in Arusha. If I had to redo this trip, I would rather have Fortes also make all our accommodation bookings. This excellent local company has all the contacts, is able to obtain significant discounts and does not “clip the ticket” as do many overseas based tour companies.

Me and my family have recently completed my 10 days journey including safari and beach with FANTASTIC SAFARIS at a good price. It was really fantastic and i saw all the big 5, My kids were taught and got very amazed about their nick names: Mr/Mrs.Angry (Buffalo), Mr/Mrs.King(Lion), Mr/Mrs.Fat (Elephant), Mr/Mrs. Shy (Leopard) and Mr/Mrs. Horn (Rhino). After our safari they flew us to Zanzibar and enjoyed beach holiday as well. The driver for both safari and beach were very knowledgeable and friendly. I recommend this company to anyone.

Ahsante tours was perfection!
Every request and detail of our safari was met by Ahsante tours; from airport pick up, to our safari, and transfers to Zanzibar - not a detail was missed. They are highly professional and make a trek to Tanzania easy. They are well established and respected in the Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania - and with good reason; they truly are amazing in all that they do. Our guide, Elvis, did an exceptional job of locating game, thus giving us the opportunity for incredible wildlife viewing. What a blessing he was.
We highly recommend them to anyone interested in travel to Tanzania. And, one additional highlight - they are reasonable! Not sure how they do it, but we certainly glad that they do :)

We had a great experience in the Serengeti and all of Tanzania. We used African Travel in Glendale to put our tour together. They used Kibo tours in Tanzania for our Safaris. Our guide from Kibo, Elpidius Deogratins - (Deo for short) was outstanding! He made the trip not only exciting but educational as well
We visited Tarangire National Park, Lake Eyasi, the Ngorongoro Crater (it's really a Caldera - but I got tired of trying to correct people) , the Oldupai Gorge, and finally Serengeti National Park. We enjoyed each and saw an incredible number of wild game. We were advised to take a telephoto lens with a 300 to 400mm lens. Due to the cost, I rented an entire camera kit with both a standard lens and a 400mm lens. It was a great decision (less than $300 for the two weeks) as we took over 1,000 pictures and the telephoto lens was vital to getting some incredible shots - including two hippos mating and an entire pride of lions with young cubs taking a bath.
The tented camps were as advertised and all had surprisingly good meals and while still on the rustic side, the tented camps were all upgraded (beds and sometimes running water in each tent) and clean. The Ngorongoro Farm House located in the midst of a coffee plantation was more of a resort type setting and included beautiful four star type accommodations (albeit less than helpful front desk folks).
Our trip also included a "cultural component" with visits to schools, a walk with Wahadzabe hunters, an incredible visit with members of the Datoga tribe and a visit to a "typical"?? Maasai Village, This later experience was the only one that was a bit disappointing as it was far from typical (the tribe we visited was near the Ngogongoro Crater). We were escorted through a very planned experience. Each step of our visit (starting with our arrival) was geared to pressure us to donate or purchase something over and above the "entrance fee" already paid by our tour company . By the time we tried to leave , our guide - the son of the chief - was in heated negotiations nearly demanding that we purchase something that the tribal women allegedly made - this after the entrance fee had been paid and a donation given to the school. As it turned out, the jewelry and souvenirs on display were readily available in every gift shop and hotel we visited at prices considerably less than we were able to "negotiate" with the Maasai themselves. Saying that, neither my wife nor I begrudged our expenditures as the need was clearly there - especially for the schools we visited. We just wished we hadn't felt so "used" in the process.
One major suggestion on souvenirs - take a look at the prices in gift shops or even at the airport upon arrival to get a sense for what their prices are for key items (tanzanite, ebony wood carvings, etc.) and you will at least have a starting point for negotiations when you are on Safari. You will find that the locals will usually start at twice or three times the number that these stores are selling the same items for and are insulted if you don't/won't negotiate with them. Also, be sure to lock your luggage - even duffel bags as there were multiple instances of lost luggage and thefts from luggage.
Bottom line the minor irritations aside, - this is a trip that proved to be the adventure of a lifetime!

We spent 2 days in the Serengeti on a private wildlife safari with Bright African Safaris. It was a spectacular "endless plain" of big game and beautiful wildlife. We stayed 2 nights there in the Kati Kati Tented Camp, which was an awesome experience, as well. Our driver and guide, Juma, was excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable, and made every effort to give us a trip of a lifetime!
When I arrived at Kilimanjaro Airport, I met two other couples that I was going on safari with for nine days. Our guide Herman from Leopard tours picked us up in his 4by4 and took us to the hotel, after lunch Herman took us into Arusha to see the market and just a walk about the city.
The next day with our lunches we were off to Tarangire National Park. It is a beautiful place, the scenery, the herds of elephant, buffalo and lots of everything else, just wonderful. But what I know today I would have rather have gone straight to the Serengeti National Park. There is so much more to see.

4 days of Safari from Ngorongoro to Serengeti, and Lake Manyara was a trip of a life time.
We stayed at Serena Hotel and Sopa Lodges throughout our trip. We had a private driver and of course we were able to see the BIG 5's. What an adventure. We booked our trip through Discovery Safari, and the whole trip was taken care of excellently. Thanks to our driver Pius, so knowledgeable about nature and very friendly.

We booked our 8 days tailored made, performed by Tanzania DMC. Very good. The guide cum driver, Paul Stephen, does an excellent job. He knows every corner of the park and Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara, has full of knowledge about the animals, cares every details of our trip -with a kid - to an extent I don't think one can do better.
While we were watching and filming the migration in the Serengeti,we caught the full action of a lion capturing an wildebeest. It was really the high light of of our trip, thanking also for Paul's experience as he indicated that the action was about to be taken and positioned the 4x4 vehicle in the best place for our cameras.

I met African Breakaway Safaris in 2013.We talk about my desires (see animals) and préférences (private camping safari). I start my safari in October: Tarangire, superb reserve, many éléphants, lions, cheetahs and my first leopard .Manyara:also a beautiful reserve. Ngorongoro Crater:despite drought, very beautiful, many animals. my first stay in Tanzania was nice, and a good organization. Therefore,i returned in June 2014 again with African Breakaway Safaris. Back to Tarangire,Ngorongoro Crater and in addition the Serengeti. Serengeti, very great reserve where i could, once again, enjoy the capabilities of my driver-guide,whether driving, knowledge of animals,or my photographic needs. So,i'm in love with Tanzania, and that's why i'm leaving again next January and still with African Breakaway Safaris,a team of professionals, always listening to my needs. Eden exists,it is located in Tanzania.
Awesome to experience the nature and wildlife of Africa, an eye-opener to the remarkable landscape and unreal creatures! However, select your tour company carefully as it makes or breaks your trip - stay away from Tomodachi Tours as they lack the service and poor management.

It was very comfortable to go with Expect In Africa Tours for safari. I did a request last moment for short safari because I had only 2 days free and the team did his best to find me a good proposal. They are very flexible. Communication is easy. I recommend 100% for a nice safari, all kind of budget and very kind and fun team.

I had a day trip to Tarangire National Park with my friends. This tour was organised with Expect In Africa Safari Tours. We managed to see so many animals i.e buffalos, elephants, etc. The whole pack was super and we really did enjoy. We do recommend Expect In Africa Tours and Safari for the tour of this nature.
We choose Africa Serengeti Africa because it matched our needs. A small business who is ran perfectly. We had all the information we needed before to do the safari for 2 days. They helped to choose the best option for the national park. We choose Tarangire and Ngorogoro Crater.
During the safari, the guide was great always taking time to explain us the wildlife and other facts about the park. He has a lot of experience.
The accommodation they booked for us was beyond expectation.
Overall the safari was amazing and we saw a lot of animals especially babies lions.
I recommend them.
Spent the night in a tree top shack close to the safari park and enjoyed the day in the park in a four wheel drive. Couldn't see the big four as the lions evaded us. Overall a great experience to see the wild life up close.

The highlight of my three months in Africa. The must do for any traveller; we saw just about everything. The guide was very knowledgeable and spotted a distant cheetah having just made a kill. Ultimate highlights for me were the vast congregation of many thousands of zebra, and the beginnings of the wildebeest migration. The whole day was a revelation, and one not to be missed. Cannot recommend this place too highly
It was a wonderful trip as an actor in a National Geographics film! Seeing animals in their environment, living, hunting, having fun is realy incredible and wonderful!
