Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve
Pick up from Nairobi hotel at 7:00 a.m. and join the rest of the group and depart for the Massai Mara Game Reserve, via the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley and Narok town for lunch. On arrival, you will proceed for a game drive, tracking various animal species and birds with your driver or guide. Dinner and overnight at the camp. The tents are complete with showers and flush toilets fitted with mosquito nets. All meals and drinking water are included.
Day 2: Maasai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, you will proceed on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for a game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close-range viewing and photography. You will have a picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippos and crocodiles. Dinner and overnight at the camp. All meals and drinking water are included.
Day 3: Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru
Early morning pre-breakfast game drive and return to camp for full breakfast and then depart the Mara region for Nakuru. Lunch is en route with scenic views of Mount Longmont and Lake Naivasha from afar on the main highway. You will arrive in time for dinner. Overnight will be at Chester Hotel. All meals and drinking water are included.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, you will proceed on a game drive in Lake Nakuru Park, known for its prolific birdlife including flamingoes. The park contains a sanctuary for the conservation of the white rhino while species like Cape buffalo and waterbuck can be seen near the shoreline. You will then drive to Naivasha, where you have the option of doing a boat ride on this freshwater lake to see hippos and fish eagles at an extra cost. Dinner and overnight at Naivasha hotel. All meals and drinking water are included.
Day 5: Lake Naivasha to Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, you will have a nature walk in Hell’s Gate National Park the park which is mainly comprised of a savannah ecosystem that harbors a wide variety of wildlife. Some of the frequently observed animal species include lions, leopards, and cheetahs. There are over 100 species of birds in the park including vultures, Verreaux eagles, augur buzzard and swifts, African buffalo, zebra, eland hartebeest, Thomson gazelle, and baboons are common here.
The park is also home to klipspringer antelope and Chanler's mountain reedbuck. Within Hell's Gate is the Hells Gate Gorge which extends to the south and of which a path descends into hot springs that at some places you can find rocks that will burn you. There is a fair amount of sulfur that you can feel in the water. You will have your lunch and drive to Amboseli National Park dinner and overnight at camp. All meals and drinking water are included.
Day 6: Amboseli National Park
A day of game drives at Amboseli National park which contains swamp grounds in which elephants and hippos bathe in abundance. A variety of plains game antelope and birds can also be seen and you will be able to have a glimpse of the Mount Kilimanjaro peak if weather conditions permit. They will cater for picnic lunches and return in the evening for an overnight at the camp. All meals and drinking water are included.
Day 7: Amboseli National Park to Arusha
After breakfast drive through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park arriving in time for lunch. You will then proceed for an afternoon game viewing returning for dinner and overnight at Twiga Campsite. The tents are basic and you must have sleeping bags. All meals and drinking water are included.
Day 9: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast departs for Serengeti passing through Olduvai Gorge, the site of the Leakey family discovery of fossils of human and animal ancestors dating back to almost two million years. If you're interested, you may take the time to visit it at an extra cost and later proceed on an evening game drive. Meals and overnight at Seronera Campsite. All meals and drinking water are included.
Day 10: Serengeti National Park
A full day of game viewing in these Serengeti plains, search for the wild game you might have missed in the previous game drives. You will enjoy picnic lunches as you trace the wildebeest migration route in this popular park. Meals and overnight at Seronera Campsite. All meals and drinking water are included.
Day 11: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro
Early morning game viewing will be in the Serengeti National Park. You will return to the camp for a full breakfast and pack your luggage to drive out to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will arrive in the evening to have a nature walk on the crater rim. Dinner and overnight will be at the Simba campsite. All meals and drinking water are included.
Day 12: Ngorongoro to Arusha
After breakfast, you will drive 2000 feet down to the crater floor for game viewing in this great wonder of the world. That offers you with best sights of black rhino and some of the largest tusker elephants left in Africa. The crater is also home to some good populations of lions, leopards, and hyenas along with healthy herds of wildebeest, buffalo, and zebra. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the crater before you ascend back to Simba Campsite. All meals and drinking water are included.
Day 13: Arusha departure
After breakfast, you depart using the morning shuttle bus back to Nairobi. Drop off will be at the city center or airport. For those proceeding to Zanzibar or returning home, you will be transferred to the airport to connect the flight and depart home. Breakfast is included on your last day.
