Tremisana Game Lodge is the largest and leading lodge in this section, having a total of 15 chalets plus a two-bedroomed guesthouse. We can accommodate a maximum of 40 guests. Every unit is en suite (shower, toilet, basin ) and all units are air-conditioned. Every bed has its own Mosquito net. 24 hour WIFI is available to all Tremisana guests.
The lodge is serviced by two excellent boreholes. Its proximity to the tar road means Tremisana is easily accessible all year round, including the rainy season. The presence of lions, elephant and buffalo necessitates the maintaining of an electric fence around the camp.
Perhaps the most striking feature of Tremisana Game Lodge is the beautiful gardens. The presence of numerous bougainvilleas and various palms and cycads gives the camp a subtropical feel. Water features add a soothing effect and the overall feel of Tremisana is very relaxing. At night, the subdued light from the illuminated paved walkways lend a romantic and magical flavour to this outstanding camp.
Programa
Day 1: Gauteng - Balule Big Five Reserve
Pick up from your hotel in JHB or OR Tambo Airport and travel via the Highveld grasslands to Tremisana Game Lodge in the Kruger Park. Board an open Landcruiser for a 4-hour sunset drive, your first opportunity to experience the fauna and flora of Africa. Watch the magnificent African sunset and, after dark, use a spotlight to view nocturnal animals. Dinner at the Marula Tree Boma will be a bush BBQ. After dinner, continue your night drive and overnight in ensuite air-conditioned chalets.
Day 2: Kruger National Park
Drive to the Orpen Gate of Kruger Park. Your custom-built open-sided vehicle allows for a total wildlife experience – you will not only have time to view game, but also to listen to and smell the African bush and its denizens. The absence of windows and elevated position allow for excellent photographic opportunities. The Orpen / Satara region has the greatest concentration of animals in the whole of Kruger Park.
Day 3: Blyde River Canyon - Gauteng
Enjoy an early morning Sunrise Drive on the open Landcruiser. After a hearty breakfast, there is an opportunity to purchase some memorabilia from the shop and take your last photos of the lush luxuriant gardens at Tremisana. You will then drive to the awesome Blyde River Canyon and view the Three Rondawels. You will return to Gauteng in the late afternoon. Airport dropoff by arrangement.

On the third day of your safari, you will drive to the Blyde Rive Canyon, viewing the amazing scenery of the Three Rondawels and the epic landscape from your vantage point.
Safaris in Kruger Park
Safaris in Kruger Park are conducted on nine-seater, open game viewing vehicles. The open game viewers offer elevated vantage positions from where your are and photographic opportunities are greatly enhanced. All the game viewing vehicles are 4x4 conversions with access to all roads, in all weather conditions.
Sunset drive
The sunset drive affords you your first opportunity of seeing Africa’s animals. The qualified guide will take you on an open 4x4 land cruiser game drive. Stops will be made to photograph the stunning sunsets, listen to the night sounds, and admire the clear Southern hemisphere constellation. Spotlights are used to locate elusive nocturnal animals.

During this safari, meals will be provided for you by Viva Safaris. You will have a bush braai on the first day and you will be served with breakfast on the last day of the safari. The bush braai is held on the first night of the safari. You will have dinner on a beautiful boma under a magnificent marula tree. Armed rangers will patrol while you enjoy a bush braii in that secluded place in Africa.
