Day 1: Nairobi - Maasai Mara Game Reserve
The day will start with an arranged pickup from your Nairobi Hotel, residence, Apartments, or direct from the airport. Visit Absolute Holiday Safaris's office to clear the payments, meet the driver guide and other group members.
Briefing and introduction will be done before starting the trip and any questions will be answered or clarified. Absolute Holiday Safaris will make the first stopover at the viewpoint to see the Great Rift Valley escarpment wall, descend and travel to Narok town for early lunch. Upon arrival at Maasai Mara, you will proceed directly to your accommodation facility, check-in, little siesta followed by an evening game drive till sunset. Dinner and overnight will be served at the accommodation property.
Day 2: Maasai Mara Full Day Game Watching
The day starts with a good breakfast at the camp then before 0800 am leave with a picnic lunch for full day game viewing. This is your day with animals and your driver guide will be a resourceful person in the search of various animals which inhabit in this famous game reserve. During the day you will be able to spot below animals; elephants, dik dik, zebras, Thomson's gazelles, impalas, kudu, wildebeest, buffalo, leopards, cheetah, giraffe, rhino, common elands, hyena, baboon monkeys, lions, bushbucks, greater kudu, African hare, warthogs, antelopes, bush babies among others.
You will also enjoy a number of birds like ostrich, pelicans, cormorants, duck and geese, hamerkop, eagles, vultures, owl, quails, guinea fowls, and many more. Maasai Mara has plenty to offer and you will really enjoy your day, by 1700hrs leave the park for an optional activity where you can choose either to spend them visiting the Maasai village to interact with the Maasai community or spend them at the camp. Dinner and overnight will be served at the camp.
Day 3: Maasai Mara - Lake Nakuru (Nakuru Town)
Day one upon arrival you had a game drive till sunset, so on this day you wake up very early in the morning, have a cup of tea or coffee then move for a game drive. Witness the sunrise and together with your guide try to search for wildlife as they graze and wildcats hunt. If lucky enough you may have a chance to witness a hunt and a kill. Return to the camp before 0900 am for full breakfast.
Check out and leave the Maasai Mara region with lunch en route, stopover at Lake Naivasha for optional activity like a boat ride to watch the birds that inhabit in this lake. Upon arrival at Nakuru town proceed to your accommodation property for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru - Amboseli National Park
Breakfast will be served at the hotel, check out and leave for a morning game drive at Lake Nakuru National park famous for the Flamingos and black and white Rhino. Here the only animal you cannot find is the Elephants, enjoy your game drive till 11:00 or afternoon. The lake host a great number of birds but the number of flamingos is determined by the level of water at the lake.
When the water level is low they are many as they can feed on the algae but when the water level is high they migrate to other lakes on the Great Rift Valley. You will leave the park with lunch en route and drive to Amboseli National Park via Nairobi and the busy Nairobi – Mombasa highway. You will arrive at the camp late evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Amboseli National Park
Amboseli national park is the second most popular after Maasai Mara and a popular destination to a great number of clients, below are some of the animals you will have an opportunity to see here. African Bush elephants termed jumbo elephants due to their big size, African buffalo, hyena, cheetah, leopard, giraffe, zebras, impala, antelope, wildebeest, african lion, and lioness among other animals.
You will also be lucky to see the magnificent Mt. Kilimanjaro which is also the main attraction in Amboseli. You will have approximately 8 hrs to 9 hours to explore and see the beauty of this national park. Picnic lunch will be at the viewpoint and at the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Enjoy the different topography of this park which includes plains, Thorn bushes, acacia woodland, and the swamps where elephants and hippopotamus are abundant. Later in the evening return to the camp where dinner and overnight will be served.
Day 6: Amboseli National Park - Nairobi/Emali or Namanga Border
You will have your last day game driver before breakfast so as per the arrangements with your guide be ready by 06:00 a.m. for the beautiful and amazing game as the animals graze on the plains grassland and the swampy areas of Amboseli national park.
You will be able to see the large herds of elephants among other animals at the swampy area of Amboseli. Later return to the camp for a full breakfast, check out and decide which route the guide will take so that to drop each at his or her destination. Those heading to Tanzania will be dropped at Namanga Border, for Mombasa by evening train will be dropped at Athi River train station and those returning to Nairobi city will be dropped at the airport or their Nairobi Hotel.
