Explore the beauty of Africa on this memorable safari in Kruger National Park. This holiday is designed for a traveler who wishes to fit in a safari tour to the world famous game reserve in a limited amount of time. The Kruger Nation Park, which is one of the largest conservation areas in the world, gives you the best opportunity to experience all that Africa has to offer.
Bungalows are single bedroom units with en-suite bathroom and air conditioning. Some have communal kitchens while others have kitchenettes with basic kitchen equipment. Some bungalows have perimeter or river views, while others have been upgraded to luxury status.
You will be picked up from O. R. Tambo International Airport (JNB) or from your accommodation in Johannesburg, and transferred to Kruger National Park. After checking in to your accommodation, you will embark on your first small game drive to get your first feel of the African bush. The length of the drive will depend on what time you manage to leave Johannesburg and how tired you are. The meal provided for this day is dinner.
You will wake before sunrise to get a head start on things, this is the best time to view game as the nocturnal animals are still active and other animals which use the cool of the morning to move to the watering holes. After a few hours of game viewing, your guide will find a comfortable spot to stop and have coffee or tea and some biscuits. Take in the sites and the smell as you enjoy Africa in its finest.
Move along before stopping for breakfast, which is prepared outdoors at a picnic site, with a magnificent view of the surrounding bushveld. During the heat of the day, relax by the pool or under the garden trees as you identify the many birds found here. Then, set off on your afternoon game drive. Your guide will again find a great spot to have a couple of sundowners and afternoon snacks, as you gaze over the vast savannah.
Return to camp to freshen up before meeting around the campfire to share the stories of the day. Have a wonderful supper prepared by your guide in true South African style on open coals and under the stars.
Also, included are the open vehicle game drives with a park ranger, these could be taken at night or in the early morning, and you can decide once checked in when you would like to do these drives. The meals provided for this day are breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.
Today, you will be driven to another section of the park for some variety and you will have a bush breakfast at a picnic spot along the way. After letting that all settle, carry on at a leisurely pace and find a cool spot to relax and take in the sights. Snacks consisting of cheese, biscuits, and traditional South African biltong too will be served along the way. After that, you will make your way back towards camp as the sun seeps and will enjoy your last sunset in the African bushveld. Dinner will be served under the stars again. The meals provided for this day are breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.
