Enjoy your days cruising through Lake Sandoval, walking through the jungle with your guide, and seeing the wonders of Tambopata National Reserve in Peru.

The standard bungalow is perfect for people who want a comfortable place that covers the basic needs of a rest in the Peruvian jungle. It has a bed for two people or two separate beds and a private bathroom. Andean rubber sandals are included for your comfort along with useful equipment for the jungle like umbrellas, lanterns, lamps, and ceiling fans.

The family bungalow is perfect as its name says for adventurers who travel with family or with many companions and who want to be together enjoying the Peruvian jungle. It has comfortable beds and a private bathroom.
The deluxe bungalow is perfect for two people. It has a king bed, pillows, air-conditioning, private bathroom, and more. The spacious bathroom has a separate shower and toilet, hot water, towels, and a full set of eco-friendly toiletries. The journey begins when you arrive in Puerto Maldonado and you are transferred to board an outboard boat along the Madre de Dios River to Ecolucerna Lodge (approximately one and a half hours downstream). Upon arrival, you will enjoy a tasty buffet lunch based on organic ingredients and native flavors.
After lunch, you will take a walk through Lucerna trails. In these natural trails, located within the property, you will discover and learn about the primary and secondary forest, its components, uses, transformations made by man, and its relevance to the world. This hike will end at night where you will have the opportunity to observe the flora and fauna behavior of the Amazon.
Returning to the lodge, you will enjoy a restorative traditional dinner.
Today you will live a day of many emotions. After taking a nutritious breakfast buffet, you will get ready for a long walk along the Tambopata National Reserve, which will take you to Lake Sandoval.
Here you will understand why Madre de Dios is known as the biodiversity capital of Peru. You will know the conservation works of the reserve and the formation of the lake, sailing in canoe through this water mirror, home of the giant otter in danger of extinction, the blue and yellow macaw, and one of the freshwater fish largest in the world, the Paiche.
In the middle of the lake, you will have lunch with a breathtaking view of Lake Sandoval. You will have an interesting river excursion at night. You will navigate through the Madre de Dios River, to know its ecosystem, Amazonian streams, and the behavior of the nocturnal fauna on the banks of the river and others. The day ends with a traditional dinner in the dining room.
There will be a scheduled excursion to organic gardens which allows volunteers and students to be part of social extension projects that aims to improve the quality of life of local communities through education to harvest Amazonian products and forest species in an organized way, thus avoiding the continuous falling of forests and prolong the use of soils.
Likewise, an organic and sustainable supply chain is created to supply the pantry of Ecolucerna Lodge. After that, you will visit the native family of "Bococo", who still survives the area. After coordinating with the chief, you can enjoy their stories and the original way of life.
Return to EcoLucerna for lunch, and then prepare to travel by canoe and cart, approaching the Collpa Chunchos, famous for hosting hundreds of birds such as parrots, macaws, and some mammals every morning. You will pend the night in a friend's lodge.
Wake up very early and after a delicious coffee, you will board a boat at 4:30 a.m. upstream for an hour and thirty minutes. You'll have the spectacular view of the sunrise high chances to see a jaguar on the banks of the Tambopata River.
Arriving at your destination, you will find a show of parrots, macaws, and some mammals and you will learn closely the reasons why these birds and many other mammals need the clay of this wall for their daily diet throughout the year. This show will entertain you from 5:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. Your breakfast will be in front of the Collpa Chuncho.
Returning to the lodge, pick up your belongings and start the return trip to Puerto Maldonado and then to the airport.
Puerto Maldonado, in the southern jungle of Peru bordering Bolivia and Brazil, is the gateway to one of the most extraordinary tropical environments in the world. On your trip, you will reach the heart of the Tambopata National Reserve, where you will explore the magnificent beauty of sounds, aromas, colors, and magic of the Amazon.
During this tour, you will be provided with three breakfasts, three lunches, three dinners, and daily tea time. Mineral water is available in the dining room and juices during meal times.
