During this safari, you will be travelling across Namibia and taking in the beautiful and unique sights it has to offer. You will start your journey at the elegant Hilton Windhoek, after which you will travel to Namib Naukluft Lodge. After spending a few nights there, you will head to Bush Pillow Guest House and then Epacha Game Lodge. The final leg of the journey takes you to Huab Lodge then finally back to Hilton Windhoek. Hilton Windhoek

Hilton Windhoek which is conveniently located in the heart of the Windhoek central business district, and is close to shopping venues and popular attractions. The rooms showcase a modern, chic style, comfortable furnishings, which also have flat-screen TVs. The hotel has a wonderful 18-meter pool and 24 hour fitness center on-site, as well as a luxurious spa that guests can utilize. The Hilton Windhoek is also conveniently located, making it the perfect hotel to explore the city surrounds.

The main lodge building houses a cozy library, cognac and cigar room, and an exquisite wine cellar underneath the restaurant. The stunning infinity pool and pool-bar offer free Wi-Fi connection for the guests. You will be staying here on the first and last night of the safari.

Namib Naukluft lodge

The upmarket Namib Naukluft lodge is located on the Nam Nau habitat, backed by impressive granite hills with striking views over the open desert plains. The peaceful environment and friendly staff lets you enjoy your holidays. The lodge consists of a total of 16 rooms and offers the ideal gateway to the Namib Desert for the individual traveler and small groups.

All 16 rooms are ensuite. The spacious interior is tastefully furnished without being overloaded with extra frills. The king-size or twin beds are furnished with Simmons - world class mattresses dressed up with white percale cotton linen for exquisite comfort. All pillows and duvets are hyper allergenic for those with extra sensitivity. All rooms are equipped with Daikin air-conditions, fridges, and offer a private veranda with inspiring views.

The main building offers a comfortable lounge exhibiting local decor items as well as original paintings, prints, and hand-woven carpets from local artists. You will be staying here on the second to the fourth night of the safari.

Bush Pillow guest house

All of the modern guest rooms and suites at this Windhoek hotel are decorated in a warm, contemporary African style and feature spacious work areas and high-speed internet access. Each of the rooms has an outside entrances that overlook Bush Pillow guest house's luscious inviting green garden with a large clean pool for guests to enjoy. You will be staying here on the fifth night of the safari.

Epacha game lodge

The Epacha game lodge and spa with 18 spacious luxury chalets is the main lodge on this 21,000 hectare private reserve. It was also a pioneer in Namibia, offering the first fully-equipped luxurious wellness center comprising of five treatments rooms (of which one is open air), a sauna, steam room, and Jacuzzi. You will be staying here on the sixth to the eighth night of the safari.

Huab lodge

Huab lodge has seven elegantly furnished, quality en-suite bedrooms. The warm decor and soft furnishings in the rooms create an ambiance that guests will truly appreciate. You will be staying in a stone and thatch bungalow in Huab lodge from the ninth to the eleventh night of the safari.

Day 1

You will be picked up from the airport and make your way to the elegant Hilton Windhoek, which is conveniently located in the heart of the Windhoek central business district, and is close to shopping venues and popular attractions.

Day 2 to 4

Upon check out from the Hilton Windhoek, you will proceed to Namib Naukluft Lodge where you will spend two nights. On your arrival, you will be directed to a tastefully furnished rooms with a private veranda. You can enjoy a variety of optional activities ranging from a daily Sossusvlei excursion to a zebra walking trail! A balloon safari or scenic flight is also available for an additional fee.

Day 5

You will proceed to Otjiwarongo, the cheetah capital of the world, where you will have game drives. Your accommodation for this day is at Bush Pillow guest house.

Day 6 to 8

After checking out at Bush Pillow guest house, you will make your way to Epacha Game Lodge and Spa where you will be greeted at the reception and then directed to your luxury chalet. Namib Naukluft Lodge and Soft Adventure Camp is located on a unique 25,000 hectare private nature reserve which stretches from the Namib Desert to the Naukluft Mountains, bordering to the Namib Naukluft Park on both sides, east and west.

You can partake in a number of day and night game drives held daily on Epacha Private Game Reserve, swim in the pool, or have a relaxing spa day. You may also elect to go on either a half or full day game drive into Etosha National Park with an experienced tracker.

Day 9 to 11

You will proceed to Huab Lodge. Upon arrival, you will be escorted to a stone and thatch bungalow which will become your home for the next four days. Activities available at Huab Lodge include, but are not limited to, game and scenic drives, nature walks and hikes, and even a natural thermal spa. Meals can be enjoyed in a wonderfully airy restaurant on-site at Huab Lodge.

Day 12

You will make your way back to the Hilton Windhoek from Huab Lodge and spend the night there.

Day 13

Check out of Hilton Windhoek as the tour comes to a close.

This safari will take place in Namib Naukluft National Park, Otjiwarongo, Etosha National Park, and Damaraland.

You will be provided with daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner during this safari.

Please book your flight to arrive at Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH). Transfer from and to the airport is included. East Cape Tours will pick you up from the airport.

    "Sorry it’s taken me so long to respond! We had such an amazing time – I’ve been recommending South Africa and East Cape Tours to everyone I know! Your recommendations were spot on and everything went really well. Everyone we met and interacted with was entirely gracious, friendly and helpful and our hosts gave us great recommendations for restaurants and things to do, particularly Sharon at Redbourne Hilldrop. We couldn’t be happier with our once-in-a-lifetime safari vacation and we’re already dreaming about visiting beautiful SA again in the future."

    "The only change I would have made is to our reservation at Woodall. The properly was lovely as was the service, however the dinner was a fixed menu and very expensive in comparison to elsewhere (for a nice meal but not the best we had given price). The transfers to/from Addo were also very expensive and not divulged to us ahead of time by the hotel so it was a surprise come checkout time (I think we paid close to R800 for a round-trip to Addo which was only a 15 minute drive). Unfortunately because we had already returned the car we didn’t have another option for transportation and were not able to go to another restaurant so we felt a bit stranded. Something you may want to consider for future guests you book into the hotel."

    "I wanted to send you a note to thank you and your team so much for making our trip the East Cape in October so completely magical. After having taken that incredible trip with our Aussie friends in 2015, was expecting that our shorter trip booked “last minute” would not have the same level of “adventure” or expansiveness. It ended up being a wonderful trip and completely exceeded expectations. Wanted to give you my thoughts on the itinerary and the lodges we visited."

    "We started at Pumba, then moved to Kichaka and ended up at Addo reserve at Camp Figtree. All of these lodges were wonderful. Great accommodations, excellent food, friendly staff and lots of animals. If I was scheduling this again, I would have done Addo first. While we were able to see quite a few elephants and they had a great water hole, after the other two camps, the game viewing was less exciting. It would have made a perfect first camp! Camp Figtree was really a treat, loved being up in the mountains and the lodge was really interesting, having a few less amenities because of its location gave it a charm and feeling of days gone by! Good for a couple of nights though a longer stay may not have been as good as you are really fairly isolated up there!"

    "Pumba was a wonderful camp, I believe we were originally scheduled to be the Water Lodge but were changed last minute to the Bush Lodge. I thought the Bush Lodge was great but if I was staying again I would request the Water Lodge. One of the things I missed from our last safari was the ability to sit around the campfire at night or early in the morning and the water lodge had the nice fire pit which I think made it a little more social! We did go over there one afternoon for the spa which was wonderful. The monkeys were just little devils at the Bush Lodge!! But very fun to watch! The animals were very good at Pumba. We had some great experiences with the lions (the white ones were beautiful) and we were able to get very close to these three Cheetah brothers as they walked down the road, feasted on a kill etc. The landscape there was really interesting as well with hills and plains and there was lots to see."

    "Kichaka was next and I think both Adrianne and I felt it was absolutely our favorite experience of the three. Loved the cabins, feeling like we were in the tree tops, the main lodge was very inviting right on the water hole. Great good. Best food for trying local game (they had Ostrich Wellington!). What we liked the best were the game drives. Our ranger took us out literally for 3/12 to 4 hours twice a day. There weren’t quite as many animals as Pumba and the terrain was different but we were able to go off road whenever it made sense so we could actually get close to things. Saw some amazing things. It felt more like we were tracking animals, looking at prints and doing more seeking out versus just driving on a path and seeing what was there to see."

    "Everything went smoothly with our complicated booking when we were dealing sith Karen Engelbrecht, who was amazingly helpful. She even returned one of my calls while she was out of the office on Family leave. The only problem occurred when the travel vouchers were issued as they were incorrect. This problem was resolved by my phoning the office in PE and having the correct vouchers issued. I would be happy to deal with East Cape Tours again."

You responded quickly, and make quick adjustments to our special wishes. Everything was taken care of; flights, airport shuttles, accomodation; and I learned that you could have handled the whole tour from Denmark and back; but I’ll remember that for later!     "I just wanted to write to you to say thank you to your team for the most amazing three-week holiday that was organized for us. Firstly, Helga created a perfect itinerary. Everything went smoothly, every small detail was organized and waiting for us, each accommodation destination was unique and the service and standard could not be faulted. We would never have been able to pick such amazing accommodation and experiences ourselves. It didn’t stop there, though. Once we arrived in South Africa, Shannon made contact with us to advise us she was our new contact. We had a few questions and bits and pieces that we needed assistance with along the way and nothing was ever a hassle. She was prompt and sorted everything for us. It gave us such peace of mind to have that local support while we were in the country. The whole trip was a highlight but if we had to pick our two favorites it would be Cape Town and our stunning accommodation in De Waterkant Village and our stay at Pumba Water Lodge. My husband, two kids (seven and 12) and I have returned home with a smile on our face and the best experience of such a beautiful country and it would not have been possible without the foundation that was laid by East Cape Tours.     "I want to thank you both for this unforgettable vacation. The stay in luxury apartments, Cape Town, was amazing. excellent place and location. as for the other hotels on our way to the reserve, each one of them has, it’s own charm and yet all of them had great service, welcoming staff and tasty food. But the best was for last with Pumba game reserve. We had the best days of our lives, good mood, and good food. My family and I, we appreciate everything you did for us to make our vacation in South Africa unforgettable. I would definitely go back and for sure recommend you to everyone I know who wants to visit your beautiful country. Just one more thing, concerning the white shark dive, it didn’t happen due to bad weather and I was wondering how the refund will be done."

    "Thank you for all your help everything turned out perfect. Ebrahim was super I’d highly recommend him to anyone traveling to Cape Town. Ismail was also excellent. We met Robert More at The More Quarters one morning he was extremely nice thought he might be at Lion Sands when we were there but left us a special message because he left the day we arrived and a book signed by him his great grandfather wrote.The staff at More Quarters were so friendly we loved our room and the hotel itself. Mont Rochelle is probably the most beautiful place we have ever been. Loved Franschhoek, The vineyards, and wineries were magnificent. Could have spent more time there. The Lion Sands River Lodge was absolutely beautiful the staff was great and we had the best range in Neil and tracker Albert. Made friends with two couples we did our safaris with. Trip of a lifetime all we can do is pray we can go back some day. If we know anyone who is interested we will definitely refer you. Thank you again."

    "We have just returned from our travels in Africa. Shamwari was brilliant! Beautiful place and we were fortunate to have Jessica as our ranger and her knowledge of animals, birds, plants and the environment was amazing! We have had quite a few very good rangers take us on game drives on this trip and our previous trips, but Jessica stands out as the best! The highlight of our two months in Africa was Christmas day at Shamwari where we were able to experience a private escorted walk around the outside of the enclosures of the Born Free lions and lionesses, leopards, and cheetahs! As a Born Free Foundation supporter for many years it was the perfect Christmas present on the best Christmas day ever!"
