Day 1: Travel to Murchison Falls National Park (5 – 6 hours)

You will have an early breakfast and drive to Murchison Falls National Park, passing through beautiful woodlands and savannah grasslands. This journey takes 6 - 7 hours with stopovers at interesting tourist attractions en route. You will experience the famous chimp tracking deep in the forest later and be transferred to your accommodation. Dinner and overnight at Windsor Hotel / Parkside Safari Lodge.

Day 2: Game drive and launch cruise

You will wake up very early and set off at 06:30 or have a sunrise game drive in the Nyamsika plateau to see the Cape buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffes, Uganda kobs, hartebeests, and waterbucks. You may also spot oribis, bushbucks, bohor reedbucks, shy sitatungas, bush duikers, warthogs, and bush pigs plus large carnivores including lions, leopards and spotted hyenas.

Chimpanzees and olive baboons head the list of six species of primates found in the park. Crocodiles and hippos will be seen along the banks of the Nile. Some of the more common birds that can be seen include Goliath heron, Egyptian geese, pelican, bee-eaters, kingfishers, hornbill, cormorant, saddle-bill stork and the rare shoebill stork.

You will return to your lodge for a late breakfast and some relaxation before setting off in the afternoon for a boat cruise on the placid Victoria Nile, upstream, to the base of the falls. En route you will see hippos, crocodiles, waterbuck and a wide variety of birds including the unusual shoebill stork. The boat stops just ten meters from the “Devil’s Cauldron” to take some pictures of the photogenic and majestic Murchison Falls. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Windsor Hotel / Parkside Safari Lodge.

Day 3

You will go to the top of the falls and then travel back to Kampala (depending on the ferry it broke down). You will drive to the top of the thunderous Murchison Falls where you will enjoy the spectacular view before proceeding to Kampala, arriving in the late afternoon.

"When you are in such a job that provide you an opportunity to travel to different places one start enjoying traveling and I am glad that I am not different than other guys.. I love traveling and exploring places which are exotic and adventurous... One such place I found is Murchison national park when I visited to Kampala due to some office work.. This place is not in my list to explore ... as I hardly have any clue about it... But on surfing on Internet I come across this place and zero down to East African jungle safari tours to explore this place with much more apprehensions... But after going through this trip with East African jungle safari I am very happy and feeling lucky that I chose them.. They are very professional and always helpful to eliminate any queries which anyone might have... The tour guide and our car driver Apollo is very professional and know about most of the animals which you can see in Murchison national park... They treat us very well and we have memorable and awesome experience with them. Things to do. Take drinking water as much as you can as it will come handy on boat safari (which is part of Murchison safari). Take good sun screen, goggles and hat and if possible binoculars as you will see lots of birds alongside the river on boat safari. One pocket torch."

"I did a 3-day tour out to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest (from Kampala) to see the gorillas. Fred was great in terms of answering my questions in a timely manner and making sure everything was as I wanted. He even made a special trip to the airport on his birthday to meet me for final payment two weeks before my trip! He is an honest, trustworthy guy. My only big complaint is that it is currently not easy to pay for these safaris by credit card other than Visa, but I know this is being worked on. If he could accept credit cards over the Internet, that would be the only change I'd make. Otherwise, the prices and experience were great!"
