On the first night, you will stay at Ngulia Safari Lodge and on the second night, you will stay at Voi Safari Lodge.

Program

Day 1: Mombasa to Tsavo West National Park

After an early breakfast, depart at 06:00 for Tsavo West National Park which lies roughly halfway between the coast and Nairobi. Mzima Springs, the chief marvel here, is a favorite haunt of hippos and crocodiles. Arrival at your lodge will be in time for lunch. Enjoy an early evening game drive to see large herds of elephants, buffalos, common waterbucks, elands, rhinos, and a wide variety of antelope. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Tsavo West National Park to Tsavo East National Park

You leave the lodge soon after breakfast and proceed to Tsavo East National Park. Some game is viewed as you exit the park. You visit the scenic Lugards Falls, Mudanda Rock (which attracts elephants in the drier season), and Aruba Dam. Much of the wildlife is concentrated on the Galana River which has plentiful crocodiles and hippos. Likewise, kudus, waterbucks, and dik-diks are common along the river banks. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Voi Safari Lodge.

Day 3: Tsavo East National Park to Mombasa

Enjoy an early morning game drive. Soon after breakfast, you proceed to Mombasa arriving at 14:00. You will be dropped off at your beach hotel for beach leisure.

Note: This tour can also start and end in Nairobi.

Location

This safari covers Tsavo West National Park and Tsavo East National Park in Kenya. Tsavo West National Park is the most magnificent game viewing in the world and the attractions include elephants, rhinos, hippos, lions, cheetahs, leopards, buffalos, diverse plants, and bird species including the threatened corncrakes and near-threatened Basra reed warblers. Tsavo East National Park was famed for its large herds of elephants covered in red dust and fine scenery. The landscape in Tsavo East is flatter and drier despite having one of Kenya’s largest rivers flowing through the middle.
