Do you want to live in harmony with nature for 2 days? Take part on a Chobe National Park safari with DK Tours and Safaris. Excite yourself with various safari activities that you never imagine before at this beautiful park in Botswana. This tailor-made safari is specially designed for your interests and requirements. DK Tours and Safaris will take you there and beyond. Do something today that your future self will thank you for!
You will camp overnight at Ihaha or Boga Campsite located at Chobe National Park.
You will depart from Victoria Falls at 07:30 and arrive at Chobe National Park at about 09:00. The trip will start with a 3-hour boat cruise on Chobe River. This activity will be punctuated by a buffet lunch at Chobe Safari Lodge (a 4-star hotel). After lunch, you will have a game drive safari in custom-made 4 x 4 open safari vehicles at Chobe National Park. The safari will take another 3 hours at the park before driving back to the border for the comfortable drive back to Victoria Falls.
You will arrive in Victoria Falls at about 18:30. After the drive, you will head to Serondela Campsite which is right at the national park to stay overnight. The guide/chef with his assistants will prepare dinner at the bush camp. Chobe is the only river at this park and all wildlife congregates along the river banks for a drink. This makes Chobe one of the easiest and most rewarding safari options. Lions and other predators are also easily seen as they follow herbivores to and from the drink.
On day 2, you will depart early for an early morning game viewing just following the sounds and the distress calls that you will have heard during the night. In most case, you will get to see the fresh kills of the previous night. Then, you will return to the camp for brunch, sleep before breaking the camp, and herd back in the wild for the afternoon safari. After that, you will leave the Chobe National Park at about 15:00 and be at the border at about 16:00 for the transfer back to Victoria Falls.
Chobe National Park consists of 11,700 square kilometers of pristine wilderness bordered in the north by glorious Chobe River. All angles are protected by wildlife management areas and forest reserves allowing for the free movement of wildlife. Chobe National Park is one of the best wilderness reserves in the world and is home to the largest concentration of elephant in the region.
Throughout the year, herds of buffalo and elephant can be seen drinking at the river’s edge with their numbers rising into hundreds and thousands during the dry season. This place is the only park where one has a realist chance of encountering lions and an incredible variety of other wildlife species on a one day trip. Chobe National Park is located only 70 kilometers from Victoria Falls which makes the place only a 1-hour drive from Victoria Falls through Zambezi National Park.
Open fire cooked dinner served under the stars, brunch, and lunch on the second day.
