Location

This safari vacation will take place in Maasai Mara National Reserve, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, Hell's Gate National Park, and Amboseli National Park.

Maasai Mara National Reserve

Maasai Mara National Reserve is a large game reserve and rich in wildlife in the south-western Kenya, which is effectively the northern continuation of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. There is an annual migration of zebras, Thomson's gazelles, and wildebeests from the Serengeti every year from July to October, a migration so immense that it is called the great migration.

The reserve is only a fraction of the greater Mara ecosystem. It is the harbor of Africa's most esteemed wildlife unforgettable experience. A writer describes Maasai Mara with its breathtaking scenery and unique wildlife is a home of animal paradise, quality, comfort, and attention to detail of the presence of the wilderness silence.

It is home to the Big Five (lion, elephant, leopards, buffalos, and black rhinos ). Other animals include zebras, common ones, Maasai giraffe, wildebeests, antelopes, gazelles, cheetahs, topis, hippos, crocodiles, hyenas etc. 500 birds species which have been recorded in Maasai Mara have attracted over 5 million visitors from all over the world.

Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru is one of the Rift Valley's soda lakes at an elevation of 1,754 meters above the sea level. The lake is abundant with algae, attracting the vast quantity of flamingoes and pelicans that famously line the shore. Other birds also flourish in the area as do warthogs, baboons, and other large mammals. Black and white rhinos have also been introduced.

Lake Naivasha

Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake in Kenya, lying north west of Nairobi, outside the town of Naivasha. There is a sizeable population of hippos in the lake. There are two smaller lakes in the vicinity of Lake Naivasha: Lake Oloiden and Lake Sonachi (a green crater lake). The Crater Lake Game Sanctuary lies nearby while the lake shore is known for its population of European immigrants and settlers. The town of Naivasha (formerly East Nakuru) lies on the north-east edge of the lake. Hell's Gate National Park is found near to the Mount Longonot, the volcanic mountain (2,777 meters). This national park is the only game park where horse riding, bicycle riding, and walking is allowed.

Amboseli National Park

Amboseli National Park is the second famous game park after Maasai Mara. Amboseli is well known for the friendly elephants and the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro (the highest peak in Africa at 5,895 meters and one of the free-standing mountain in the world). Topographic and major attractions are swamps, Lake Amboseli, grassland savanna, fever acacia trees, date palms, and the streams.
