Program

Day 1: Nairobi - Maasai Mara National Reserve

You will be picked up from Nairobi very early in the morning at 06:00 and depart to Maasai Mara National Reserve with a stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for photos. You will arrive at the gate and begin your game drive until lunchtime where you will proceed to the lodge for checking in and lunch. You can relax until 16:00 and you will begin your evening game drive until sundown.

Maasai Mara National Reserve is one of the most famous and visited national game reserves in Africa. Physical attractions in Maasai Mara are Mara River and its tributaries of which lives more than millions of hippos and crocodiles as well as woodland, bushland, grassland, endless plains, hills, acacia forests, etc.

The reserve is rich in wildlife. It is home to big cats such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, civet cats, and also the best place to see the Big Five (elephants, buffalo, rhino, lion, and leopard). Other wild animals include zebras, giraffes, jackals, hyenas, antelopes, gazelles, wildebeests, warthogs, and foxes. 450 birds species have been recorded of which some of them are predatory bird such as eagles and vultures. The park is very famous for ostriches too.

The park is situated in the Maasai land. This is one of the nomadic people and plain Nilotes which is one of the ethnic groups living along the Great Rift Valley. The Maasai tribe is very royal and rich in cultures. Maasai Mara National Reserve hosts the annual great wildlife migration from Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Normally, it starts in July to September every year. Most of them are wildebeests, antelopes, gazelles, and zebras. The altitude of the park is about 1800 meters above the sea level and covers the area of 1580 square kilometers.

You will wake up for a full breakfast and take a full day game drive with a picnic lunch until evening.

Day 3: Maasai Mara National Reserve - Nairobi

Wake up for a cup of tea or coffee and begin your first game drive for two hours and then drive back for a full breakfast and then depart to Nairobi. You will arrive in time for lunch. You will have your lunch at one of the best restaurants and thereafter, you will be dropped off at the destination of your choice.
