Experience a safari vacation in Kenya, the place where safari travel originated. The best Kenya tours and safaris include Big Five game viewing, incredible natural beauty, and cultural encounters. Depending on when your Kenya safari takes place, you may witness the life-and-death struggles of the Mara River crossings or dramatic encounters with Africa’s top predators on the open plains.
You will stay at the Elangata Olerai Tented Camp for two nights, but the accommodation can be customized to suit your desire in case of a need.
Elangata Olerai is a luxury tented camp which offers a striking combination of contemporary style and comfort set in the heart of nature in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. It is located at the foothills of Sand River and Oloolaimutia Hills, and it offers magnificent views of Maasai Mara National Reserve.
The camp is 250 kilometers from Nairobi or about five hours' drive on tarmac and all-weather murra road. The flying time from Nairobi to a nearby airstrip in Keekorok is about one hour.
Elangata Olerai offers an exclusive and unique concept in community guiding based on the expertise and first-hand experience of the local community members to introduce you to landscapes, flora, and fauna that they intimately understand.
Each of the 22 tents are set apart and linked by a paved walkway that winds through the unaltered local habitat. Each tent is positioned to allow unadulterated views of the Mara. The tents are designed with rustic reed blinds, coir carpets, a draped canvas ceiling and built-in lounge area. Each suite has a spacious en-suite and a private veranda.
17 of the camps' 22 tents feature two double beds with en-suite bathroom with showers and a private veranda. Five tents are all rend-ville shape with double 6 x 6 honeymooner Swahili beds.
You will depart from Wilson Airport (WIL) aboard a scheduled flight to Maasai Mara National Reserve. Upon landing at the airstrip, you will be met and transferred to camp. The reserve is commonly known as the land of the Big Five: the lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino. You will enjoy an amazing game drive on your way to Elangata Olerai Luxury Tented Camp for dinner and your overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will have a morning and afternoon game drive in this world-famous national reserve known for its spectacular annual migration that includes wildebeest, zebra, topi, gazelle, and among many others that are also trailed by the carnivores that are waiting for a meal. This game reserve has the highest population of lion in the world. Later in the day, you will return to camp for dinner and your overnight stay.
You will rise early, have breakfast, check out, and take off for your last morning game drive as you head to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi. This is where your safari will end.
This safari will take place at the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya.
Kenya’s biggest attraction is the natural movement of mega-herds (wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle) following the summer rains and sweet grasses in an annual pilgrimage called the great migration. Kenya combines easily with Tanzania and Rwanda, which means you can add gorilla trekking to your Kenyan safari. You will also find a wide range of safari and beach combination tours to make the most of Kenya’s out-of-Africa scenic beauty and wildlife.
You will be served breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, regular (typically includes meat and fish), and hallal dietary requirements can be catered. You may contact the organizer for special dietary requests.
For an extra cost, you may opt for a visit to a Maasai village.
Please book your flight to arrive at Wilson Airport (WIL). Transfer from and to the airport is included. Dallago Tours Kenya Tanzania Ltd will pick you up from the airport.
