Nestled on the lower slopes of majestic Mount Meru, the legendary Ilboru Safari Lodge has been welcoming mountain climbers and safari travelers for decades. Ideally located between the northern safari circuit and Mt Kilimanjaro, this beautiful Swahili sanctuary is set on a five-acre plot, tucked away beneath ancient trees on the outskirts of Arusha town.
Their focus is on providing simple comforts and fine hospitality crisp white linen, extra pillows, fluffy towels, a desk to write in your journal, and everything to make this sanctuary your home.
They offer 38 rooms and four of them are in the main building close to the pool and other facilities, each with a balcony overlooking the garden. The rest of the rooms are double cottages situated throughout the lushly landscaped grounds.
Tarangire River offers a warm welcome and a wonderful atmosphere. Set within a 25,000-hectare concession area, Tarangire River lodge is located near the main entrance of the Tarangire National Park overlooking a branch of the Tarangire River itself. Nestled between the Maasai Steppe and The Great Rift Valley, it features the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti.
The 21 elegantly furnished safari tents are all equipped with en-suite bathrooms and private verandas. Each safari tent has been built on an elevated wooden platform allowing for the movement of wildlife through the lodge and hence, decreasing the interference of the lodge presence on the ecosystem.
Thatched roofs keep the tents cool even at midday. Picturesque views of Tarangire River can be enjoyed from the elevated restaurant, lounge, fireplace, and swimming pool decks.
Twiga Lodges at the Lake Manyara National Park offers camping and lodge services as well as providing you with all amenities to make you feel at home. Their accommodation facilities include extensive camping ground for more than 200 campers as well as budget-tent facilities with outdoor bathrooms for those without tents. The spacious rooms are complete with air conditioned, a television, a mini refrigerator, a writing desk, a cupboard, and a bathroom.
Serengeti Savannah Camps in the Serengeti National Park are about a safe and fun “bush” experience and the simple comforts of a private safari camp. Serengeti Savannah Camps are like lion prides, they blend into the bush, their form follows function, and they are found close to the migrating wildebeest and zebras.
All tents are custom made walk-in tents using heavy duty canvas to ensure a spacious room complete with en-suite bathrooms. The tents are tastefully appointed with twin or double beds, crisp linen, warm blankets or duvets, and bedside tables.
Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge is located on the edge of Ngorongoro Crater rim offering the perfect base to explore the Crater. The lodge was originally a home of Ngorongoro first conservator and its developers have maintained the house’s original rustic, low-impact style, and natural setting.
The lodge boasts of 24 guest’s rooms with a private veranda overlooking a stretch of the high Montane forest. All the rooms have a shower, a toilet, and a hand basin. To keep away the cold, each room has a wood-burning stove and hot water bottles can be filled if you want one.
Upon arrival, you will be met by the ground handling team at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and transferred to the delightful Ilboru Safari Lodge. You will relax in your thatched cottage, savor the enchanting views of Mount Meru, and unwind on a private veranda. Located just outside the vibrant town of Arusha, and set in its own tropical gardens, the lodge provides a gentle introduction to the natural beauty of Tanzania.
You will be transferred to the Tarangire National Park, which is home to an incredible number of wildlife with high concentrations of elephants. The park covers a huge area of 2,850 square kilometers and is located on the south east of Lake Manyara. Tarangire offers great wildlife viewing opportunities such as baboons, vervet monkey, zebra, kudu, eland, impala, gazelle, buffalo, wildebeest, lions, leopard, cheetah, and a lot of bird species recorded.
You will enjoy a picnic lunch at a campsite with stunning views of the Tarangire River and during the late evening you will be driven to the Tarangire River lodge to enjoy a delicious dinner and an overnight stay.
You will be picked up from the hotel in Tarangire and driven to visit the Lake Manyara National Park where you will enjoy a picnic lunch. The park lies in the shadow of the Great Rift Valley whose reddish brown escarpment wall looms 1,950 feet high on the eastern horizon. Waterfalls spill over the cliff and hot springs bubble to the surface in the south.
Much of the park often appears to be in a heat haze created by the Lake Manyara. The lake attracts considerable birds and its surrounding terrain contains such a rich mosaic of different habitats that it supports a large number of animals. During the late evening you will be driven to Twiga Campsite and Lodges to enjoy a delicious dinner and an overnight stay.
You’ll spend a day with a local bushman guide and experience how life is lived in a remote and untamed corner of Africa.Indigenous tribes are slowly disappearing across Africa and very few remain in Tanzania. Hadzabe Bushmen live around Lake Eyasi continuing ancient practices that compel and enthrall. They take their bow and arrows into the forest, nimbly sidestepping through the trees, and tracking animals with remarkable skill.
Every upturned stone is a clue and these traditional hunter gatherers know exactly how to bring home a meal for the village. It’s a place where fires are still lit by rubbing sticks together. Alongside the cultural interaction, there’s a gentle serenity and freedom to the landscape. No Wi-Fi, no phones, and no noise from passing traffic. This will be a day that really will reveal ancient Africa. You will spend the night at Twiga Campsite and Lodges.
After breakfast, you will start your way to the Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gauge. Oldupai Gorge, is the most famous archaeological location in East Africa and has become an essential visit for travelers to Ngorongoro or Serengeti.
You will head to Naabi gate where the driver will pay your park fees and you will enjoy a stop for a picnic lunch on a kopje (rock outcropping). After lunch, you will experience a Serengeti game drive on route. You will spend the night at Serengeti Savannah Camps.
During the next two days, you will enjoy a full-day game drive of Serengeti. Your driver guide will take yo far way to look for the Serengeti great migration. You can expect to see lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes, and many birds and other species. You will have lunch there and go back to the lodge at sunset. You will enjoy a dinner and an overnight stay at Seronera Sopa Lodge.
You will have the option of experience a balloon ride to fly over the Serengeti and have the opportunity to see all animals from their hidden place where a vehicle could not reach. The overnight will be at the Serengeti Savannah Camps.
A UNESCO world heritage site, the Ngorongoro crater covers an area of 8,300 square kilometers and encompasses several different ecosystems including volcanoes, grasslands, waterfalls, and mountain forests forming its own unique ecosystem. What makes Ngorongoro safaris special are its concentration of animals that inhabit the 260 square kilometer area of the Ngorongoro crater.
The vehicle will glide through diverse habitats as you explore different corners of the park. You will see grassland, forest, flamingo-tinged lakes, iconic savanna, and now some boggy swamps filled as always by the bobbing heads of hippos. After a full day on the crater floor, you will ascend to the highest point of the crater rim to the accommodation, the Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Arusha and Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your home flight.

During this holiday, you will be served three daily locally sourced and delicious meals including lunch picnics during the game drives.
