Exploratory Wildlife Tour in Mexico

Join Condor del Caribe as they take you across Mexico, to explore the country's most famous and hidden natural, historical, and cultural treasures. Go on a tour in the region visiting and exploring three states - Chiapa, Campeche , and the Yucatan Peninsula. Explore ancient Mayan cities, mysterious caves, experience the colors, aromas that surround the local markets, go for jungle walks, and discover the ancient rituals of the indigenous communities. This is the wonder and delights of the Yucatan Peninsula and Chiapas!

  • Vaccines needed: There are no compulsory vaccinations for travel to Mexico
  • Children policy: Children are welcome to join in this experience. Infants below the age of 4 travel for free (however, neither food nor place are included in the transport), children between the age of 4 -11 will be considered minors and will have to pay the rates for minors, and lastly, participating children above 12 years of age will fall under the adult category.

You will be staying in various hotels and villas as you move to different locations in the tour. You will stay in Smart Oasis or similar hotel in Cancun on your arrival day. When you travel to San Cristobal, where you will be spending the next two nights in Diego de Mazariegos or similar. At your next destination, Palenque, you will be spending one night staying in Villas Mercedes or similar.

Next day, you will stay at simple rooms in Camp Lacandon in Selva Lacandona. You will return to Palenque where you will again stay one night as Villas Mercedes or similar. On day seven, you will arrive at Campeche where you will stay one night in Hotel Socaire or similar. Next, you will move to Merida where you will spend your final night in Merida at an accommodation in Pan American Mission or similar.

Please note that all reservations are subject to availability. The rooms have one or two double beds for use in single, double, or triple. The hotels do not have extra beds. Extra charge applies for hotel cribs and baby seats for transportation.


History and traditions, explore this legendary land where the past and the present mix in harmony, a constant dance of colors, aromas and flavors. You will discover ancient Mayan cities, explore indigenous communities, visit archaeological sites hidden by a rich and dense vegetation, a city of other times with colorful markets and intoxicating perfumes. Come and experience the mysterious Tierra Chiapaneca.

Day 1: Cancún International Airport

At the Cancun airport, you will be met by Condor del Caribe staff who are in charge of welcoming guests. You will then be transfered to the hotel for the first night which would either be in Smart Oasis or a similar hotel.

Day 2: Chiapas - Canon de Sumidero - San Cristobal de las Casas

Transfer to the Cancun airport to board the internal flight to Chiapas. In Tuxtla, you will be welcomed by your guide and you will begin your adventure on speedboats in the Sumidero Canyon. Then continue to Chiapa de Corzo, a former Spanish settlement. You arrive in San Cristóbal de las Casas and stay overnight at Diego de Mazariegos or similar hotel. Please note that domestic flight to Chiapas is included in the package.

Day 3: San Cristobal de las Casas - indigenous community visit - San Cristobal de las Casas

The morning will be dedicated to the visit in San Cristóbal with its colorful markets of fruits, vegetables, and local crafts; the Church of Santo Domingo and the Cathedral. You will continue your tour and visit two indigenous communities: San Juan Chamula with its mysterious Church and Zinacantán, renowned for its beautiful embroidery. Then you will return to San Cristóbal for the night.

Day 4: San Cristobal de las Casas - Agua Azul - Palenque

You will be departing in the early morning to Palenque. On the way, you will stop at the beautiful waterfalls of Agua Azul which will give you the possibility to take a refreshing swim in the crystal clear waters. You will arrive at Palenque in the afternoon to and there you will be taken to your accommodation at Villas Mercedes or similar.

Day 5: Palenque - Yaxchilan - Selva Lacandona

Visit to Yaxchilán, an archaeological site that can only be accessed by navigating the Usumacinta River on the border with Guatemala. You will continue towards the jungle inhabited by the local community of the Lacandones. You will share with them during the rest of the day listening to local stories and legends. Accommodation in simple rooms in Camp Lacandon.

Day 6: Selva Lacandona - Palenque

This day, you will have a walk through nature in the jungle where you will discover the secrets of the local community, cool down at the foot of a waterfall, and visit a small Mayan ruin. Return to the camp for lunch, then transfer to Palenque to spend the night at Villas Mercedes or similar.

Day 7: Palenque - Campeche

Visit Palenque, an archaeological site famous for the discovery of King Pakal's burial chamber; designated World Heritage Site in 1987. You continue your trip to Campeche, the oldest Spanish city in the Yucatan peninsula, which still retains a picturesque colonial style. There, you will be staying overnight at Hotel Socaire or similar.

Day 8: Campeche - Uxmal - Merida

This day will be dedicated to visit an impressive and fascinating archaeological site of the Puuc Route: Uxmal. Its beauty is characterized by its low and horizontal buildings, rich in decorations and sculptures. In the afternoon, arrive in Mérida, capital of Yucatán, also known as the "white city"; tour of the city and accommodation in the Pan American Mission or similar.

Day 9: Merida - Chichen Itza - Riviera Maya

Visit Chichen Itza, a World Heritage Site and seventh wonder of the world. This archaeological site of incredible charm represents the Mayan culture in all its splendor. Guests will be able to admire some of the most important monuments, such as the Kukulkan Temple, the observatory and the ball field. In the afternoon, return to the Riviera Maya to continue your stay at the sea. End of the circuit.

This tour will take place in Chiapas and Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico. You will start your journey in Cancun, move to Sumidero Canyon, San Cristobal de las Casas, Agua Azul, Palenque, Yaxchilan, Selva Lacandona, from Selva Lacandona you will head back to Palenque and then move onward to Campeche, Uxmal, Merida, Chichen Itza, and finally end your journey in Riviera Maya.
