Ngorongoro Simba is a huge public campsite set on the crater rim and it is situated on the south-western rim of the Ngorongoro Crater Rim about 2 km from the crater village.
The campsite has well maintained toilets and regularly attended and hot water showers (heated by wood fires) and firewood for sale.
Wild animals from the crater and Serengeti as far as from other part of Ngorongoro conservation Area frequently visit the campsite which is not fenced, you should move with caution.

Upon your arrival in the airport, the driver and staff will drive you to Moshi town, the gateway to Kilimanjaro the top of Africa and the Northern Circuit Safari. After checking in hotel, you will have your free time until the meeting in late afternoon for tour description introduced by Chief’s Tours director and your safari guide.
In early morning, after breakfast in hotel, you will head to Arusha National Park, the only home to the black and white colobus monkeys in Tanzania where you will have a short game drive for wildlife and explore Momella Lake. By a 2.5-hour canoeing on the lake, you will have a great chance to view buffalo, bushbuck, elephants, giraffe, hippos, and many bird species living in and close to the water.
After a picnic lunch, you will visit the traditional Maasai Bomas where live the legendary Maasai tribe. Learning about Maasai lifestyle will be a highlight for your whole journey. In the evening, you will return to Moshi for dinner and overnight.
You will be picked up at your hotel in Moshi at 7am and transferred to the Tarangire National Park to start off your game viewing experience in this magnificent park. Tarangire is famous for its large collection of baobab trees, spectacular large mammal population, and variety of bird species, not to mention the largest concentration of elephants in Eastern Africa. After your tour around the park, you will be transferred to your camp or lodge where you will be spending the night.
After breakfast, you will head towards the Serengeti National Park via the beautiful high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, you will descend into the heart of wild Africa - the Serengeti National Park - with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eyes can see. You will head to the central park area known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. You will arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive.
You will be one of only a few fortunate people to glide in an early morning Hot Air Balloon over the Serengeti Plains (available at supplementary cost by pre-arrangement), float silently above the awakening bush while spotting wildlife and enjoying the amazing scenery of Africa, across rivers and over numerous small villages.
After breakfast, you will have a game drive along the Sogore River Circuit, which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River, and which is good for possible lion, Thomson gazelle, and ostrich and cheetah sightings. You will enjoy a relaxed picnic lunch at the visitor center in the shade of the giant acacia trees which offers some interesting wildlife displays as well as a gift shop selling beautiful African handicrafts.
In the afternoon, you will follow the Kopjes Circuit which goes anti-clockwise around the Maasai Kopjes and usually attract a big number of lions and formidably large cobras. Kopjes are weathered granite outcrops, scattered around the plains, most of which are miniature ecosystems, providing shade and drinking water in pools left in the rock after the rains. This makes the kopjes particularly good for spotting wildlife in the dry seasons.
You will have an early start to the Ngorongoro Crater to explore the last but not least amazing park of your tour. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the few areas in Tanzania where you can find such a breathtaking blend of scenery and wildlife coupled with a fascinating historical and cultural element. The crater is not only the largest unbroken caldera in the world but it is also one the most well-known UNESCO heritage sites of Africa. You will then ascend the rift valley escarpment and start an enjoyable hiking into Empakaai Crater with views to the crater lake and Oldoinyo Lengai, Tanzania’s most active volcano. On the crater floor, you will admire a colorful birdlife and an impressive number of big animals.
Setting the alarm and preparing for an early start to see the wonders of the Ngorongoro Crater, you’ll see Maasai herdsmen in the morning mist. Your guide then will take you down the crater and return to Moshi town where a true cycling journey is waiting for you. Being transfer to the Western part of Mt. Kilimanjaro, you will spend 8 hours cycling through the lush landscapes of Chagga villages along the holy mountain foothills. You will have a chance to learn about history and culture of Chagga Tribe, the leading tribe among more than 120 ones in Tanzania. Your traditional Chagge lunch will be served in your breaktime during the cycle. In late afternoon, you will be transferred by private car back to Moshi town for dinner and overnight.
After checking out at hotel, the driver will drive you back to the airport for your departure.
