This morning, we visit the Tafi Atome monkey sanctuary and cultural village. Walk in the surrounding forest with a local guide as you look for families of mona monkeys that abound in the forest. These friendly primates are more at home as you share some ripe bananas with them. You’ll have good picture opportunities. After a good time in the sanctuary, we continue to the spectacular Wli waterfalls. Look out for butterflies, insects and listen for bird sounds as you walk some 30 minutes through the riverine forest.

Take a morning walking safari with park site guides. Return by 10:00 is for breakfast. Spend the rest of the greater part of your afternoon in your room or at the poolside. After early dinner, we join the people of the Mognori community for a typical traditional Gonja drumming and dancing performance by-the-fireside. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight at Mole Motel.

Leave late morning for Kintampo. Spend some time at Kintampo waterfalls and walk on the hanging bridge above the pool. After lunch, continue to Tanoboase sacred grove for a hiking experience as you experience forest life at sunset. Dinner and overnight at Encome Hotel or similar, in Techiman.

Kakum National Park

Ghana’s tropical rainforest at Kakum National Park is a place for a breathtaking walk across Africa’s most authentic tree-top canopy walkway and a hike along the Kuntan trail to discover herbal medicinal plants and rare tree species with a chance of encountering wildlife in the rainforest.

Boabeng Fiema Monkey Sanctuary

This Boabeng Fiema Monkey Sanctuary has no fences. The monkeys are here because they want to be. There are two types of monkeys living here. They are the black and white (Geoffroy's) colobus monkey and smaller Campbell's Mona. The colobus lives high up in the trees eating just leaves while the Monas are at lower heights, eating a wide variety of food, including the ones brought by visitors. These smaller monkeys that travel in troupes of 15 - 50 come down to take food like bread and bananas from the hands of visitors.

The uniqueness of Ghana’s cultural heritage stems from the history of its people. Located in the heart of the world with abundant natural resources, the country is a melting pot of global cultures and influences. This binds the people of Ghana together with the world, having a number of World Heritage Monuments on its unspoiled shallow sandy beaches of the Gulf of Guinea.
