Day 1: Accra
Arrive and be picked up from the airport to the hotel. After hotel check-in and depending on the time of arrival, Celmar Travel & Tours Limited may take you on a ride in Accra (Ghana’s capital) to visit some iconic attractions including Black Star Square and Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park.
Overnight is at Fiesta Royale Hotel or similar.
Day 2: Shai Hills Park - Volta River
Drive after early breakfast to Shai Hills Park for hiking in the national park. From here, continue with driving to Senchi for some water safari on the Volta River.
Overnight is at the waterfront Afrikiko Hotel or Royal Senchi Resort.
Day 3: Ashanti Region
Continue with your tour to Kumasi to explore Ashanti culture and history. Visit Mahyia Palace Museum to learn all about the Ashanti kingdom.
Overnight at Golden Tulip Hotel or Four Villages Hotel.
Day 4: Adanwomase Kente Weaving Community - Buabeng-Fiema Monkey Village
This morning, discover more of Asante artistic and cultural treasures as you visit Adanwomase Kente Weaving Community. Continue with the safari ride to Buabeng-Fiema Monkey Village, this village is home to friendly mona monkeys as well as the beautifully shy and endangered black and white Colobus monkeys.
Overnight is at Mole Motel or Zaina Lodge, inside Ghana’s number one national park boasting over 90 mammal species in addition to hundreds of bird species and several reptiles.
Day 5: Mole National Park
Accompanied by a wildlife guide, take a morning walking or driving safari in the park as you try to count the elephants you come across. Antelopes, baboons, warthogs, and several bird species are among the numerous other wildlife species you’ll come across. There is also an afternoon safari if you still need more after the morning experience.
Overnight is at Mole Motel or Zaina Lodge.
Day 6: Kintampo Waterfalls - Kumasi
Say bye-bye to Mole as you regain the south, stopping first at Kintampo Waterfalls. Enjoy the canopy walkway suspended right above the falls; round it up with a dip in this fresh spring water before you say goodbye. The next stop is Tanoboase's sacred grove, this is a landmass of clustered striking rock formations nestled within a semi-deciduous forest with its array of plant, tree, bird, and butterfly species. After your fill, drive to Kumasi for overnight at the Golden Tulip Hotel or Four Villages Hotel.
Day 7: Cape Coast Castle or Elmina Castle
Drive further south to visit either Cape Coast Castle or Elmina Castle; these are European-built fortresses with dungeons that play a serious role in the infamous transatlantic slave trade between the 16th and 19th centuries. The site guide will give a guided tour, thereafter, you will check-in at Golden Hill Parker Hotel for overnight.
Day 8: Kakum National Park - Brenu Beach
After a morning photo opportunity at the spectacular Elmina Fishing Harbor and Market, proceed to Kakum National Park. Get ready to walk across the canopy walkway suspended on tree tops as you learn all about this “natural supermarket”. Spend the rest of the day at Brenu Beach and overnight is at Golden Hill Parker Hotel.
Day 9: Accra
You will have a free morning, you may spend it at the beach or do it your way. Later in the afternoon, go back to Accra for overnight at Fiesta Royale Hotel or similar.
Day 10: Makola - Arts and Craft Center - Artistes Alliance Gallery
Today is your final day in Ghana; visit Makola, the number one open market in Accra, the Arts and Craft Center, and Artistes Alliance gallery for shopping. Crown your visit with a farewell dinner before you are driven to the airport for check-in formalities where the tour ends.
