Airport transfer included: Jomo Kenyatta International Airport
On day one, you will be accommodated at Nairobi Serena Hotel. Day two and three will be at Amboseli Serena Lodge. Day four and five will be at Sweetwaters Serena Camp. Day six and day seven will be at Mara Serena Lodge.
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), you are met by a CATS Africa’s representative and transferred to your hotel. You will spend the rest of the day resting and adjusting to the different time zone. Lunch and dinner will be on your own account. Overnight will be at Nairobi Serena Hotel.
After breakfast and check-out, you will drive through south east of Nairobi to Amboseli National Park, home to big herds of elephant and with the snowy peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro in the background.
Check-in will be followed by lunch and you will spend the early afternoon at leisure. You will depart in the evening for a game viewing drive until sunset. You will return for dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge.
After breakfast and check-out, you will depart with a game drive en route to the Mount Kenya region. Mount Kenya (5.199 meters) is Kenya's highest mountain, a national icon, a climbers' Mecca, the nation's namesake, a UNESCO Natural World Heritage site, and a wildlife stronghold. One of the world's highest national parks, it is also an extinct volcano some three and a half million years old and the sacred home of Ngai, God of the Kikuyu people.
You will have lunch at Serena Mountain Lodge. You will rest in the afternoon at leisure. In the evening, you will enjoy game viewing from the lodge terrace as they arrive to lick salt and quench thirst. Dinner and overnight will be at Serena Mountain Lodge.
After breakfast, you will drive to Ol Pejeta Game Sanctuary, the home of the chimpanzees. The Ol Pejeta Conservancy boasts an outstanding variety of animals, including the Big Five (the endangered black and white rhino, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and lion), Grevy's zebra, Jackson's hartebeest, and cheetah. You will arrive in time for lunch at the camp and depart later for a game viewing drive until sunset. Dinner and overnight will be at Sweetwaters Serena Camp.
You will spend the day on morning and afternoon game viewing drives, including a visit to the Jane Goodall Institute which is a fascinating interactive information center where visitors can learn more about the chimps by means of a series of hands on activities. All meals and overnight will be at Sweetwaters Serena Camp.
After breakfast and check-out, you will be transferred to the Nanyuki Airport (NYK) for your scheduled local flight to Maasai Mara. On arrival at the Mara Serena Airport (MRE), you will be met by your host and transferred in a shared lodge vehicle. You will have lunch at the lodge. You will have an afternoon game viewing drive in a shared lodge vehicle. Dinner and overnight will be at Mara Serena Lodge.
You will spend the day on morning and afternoon game viewing drives in a shared lodge vehicle. This is home not only to the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo) but also hosts the world renowned wildebeest migration from the Serengeti plains. This happens every year beginning late June to October / early November.
Among other animals to be seen include wildebeest, zebra, impala, topi, giraffe, Thomson's gazelle, leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetah, jackal, and bat-eared foxes. Black rhinos are a little shy and hard to spot but are often seen at a distance. Optional activities available and payable direct include hot air balloon safari, visit local schools and villages, nature / bird walks. All meals and overnight will be at Mara Serena Safari Lodge.
You will have breakfast at the hotel and check-out, you are transferred in a shared lodge vehicle to the Mara Serena Airport (MRE) for your local scheduled flight to Nairobi. On your arrival at Wilson Airport (WIL), you will be met by CATS Africa Tours' representative and transferred to Carnivore Restaurant for a farewell lunch. Later you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) for your outbound flight.
You will get the excursion to visit the Jane Goodall Institute.
This safari will take place in Kenya including Nairobi, Amboseli National Park, Mount Kenya, Ol Pejeta Sanctuary, and Maasai Mara.
During this safari, you will be served meals on bed and breakfast, also meals on a full board basis as indicated in the itinerary.
