Next, spend one night at Lake Naivasha, known for its hippos, boat rides, and walking safaris on Crescent Island. Finally, enjoy two nights in Amboseli National Park, famous for its stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro and large herds of African savannah elephants before returning to Nairobi.
The safari will take place in Kenya.
Masai Mara National Reserve holds on as one of the few places left on earth where wildlife still lives comparatively undisturbed, in the numbers that once roamed the plains and forests of Africa. As the northern tip of the vast Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara hosts the spectacular seasonal migration of many thousands of Wildebeest, Zebras, and attendant predators. The Mara is well-known for its vast herds of plains game animals, such as leopards, cheetahs, lions, and other herbivores. It is home to virtually every other type of wildlife found in Kenya.
Renowned worldwide for its serene beauty and abundant birdlife, Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake that serves as a haven for nature enthusiasts. The lake is home to a diverse array of bird species, including pelicans, cormorants, and the iconic African fish eagle, offering a birdwatcher’s paradise.
Surrounded by lush greenery and acacia woodlands, it is also a perfect spot to catch a glimpse of hippos lazing in the water or grazing along the shore. The tranquil atmosphere and stunning landscapes make Lake Naivasha one of Kenya’s hidden gems. Additionally, Lake Naivasha is home to Hell's Gate National Park and Crescent Island, perfect for outdoor activities.
Amboseli National Park is located south of Nairobi. The park mainly consists of a dry, ancient lake bed and fragile grasslands, interspersed with patches of acacia woodland. In the southern area, you will find several small, rocky volcanic hills. The vegetation around the swamps of Ol Kenya, Ol Tukai, and Enkongo Narok is lush, featuring yellow-barked acacias and phoenix palms.
