Kibo Safari Camp (2 nights)

Kibo Safari Camp is a luxury tented camp in Amboseli National Park at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. Lake Nakuru Lodge (1 night)

Daily itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi - Amboseli National Park

The company representative will pick you up from the airport or your accommodation facility. After a short briefing about the safari, you will be handed over to your experienced driver guide in the morning for a scenic drive Southeast towards Amboseli National Park, arriving in good time for lunch. You will embark on your first afternoon game drive exploring this acacia woodland, freshwater swamps, scrub brush, and open plains in search of wildlife returning at sunset for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 2: Amboseli National Park

You will leave the camp after breakfast, carrying your packed lunch to be enjoyed in the wild. You will spend the whole day exploring the marshlands and swamps of Amboseli which are fed by subterranean water channels. Water is abundant throughout the year and so is the pasture. Elephants and various other herbivores are found here. You will retreat to the lodge late in the afternoon after a long exploration of this 392 square kilometers. You will also have an option of starting the day with an early morning game drive to search for animals when they are at their most active.

Then, you will return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch. You will spend the hottest part of the day relaxing in the camp reading your favorite book or just listening to your favorite music while observing the birds. Do not stress, the animals will be doing the same. Afterward, you will head off in the afternoon (4:00 p.m.) for another drive through the park. You will return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3: Amboseli - Lake Nakuru National Park

Today, get ready for an unforgettable adventure. After an early breakfast, you will embark on a scenic drive past Nairobi towards Lake Nakuru National Park. Along the way, you will make a stop at the awe-inspiring Great Rift Valley viewpoint to soak in the breathtaking landscapes. Your lunch will be at the picturesque Sopa Lodge, situated on the shores of Lake Naivasha, before continuing your journey to Lake Nakuru. Upon arrival, you will dive into an exhilarating game drive to discover the park's incredible wildlife. As the day winds down, you will check into your hotel, ready to unwind from an action-packed day.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara National Park

Today after breakfast, you will drive through the Rift Valley floor to Masai Mara National Reserve arriving at the lodge in good time for lunch. You will embark on your first game drive in the reserve this afternoon in search of the Big Five and other herbivores that roam around in this beautiful savanna. You will return to your lodge at sunset for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 5: Masai Mara National Reserve

This is a full day spent game viewing across the rich tree-studded grassland and rolling hills of the famous savannah. You will have a full-day game drive in Masai Mara Savannah. Your lunch today is picnic lunch boxes in the savannah under a flat-top acacia tree while watching the animals grazing. You will continue with the game viewing en route to your camp, arriving late in the afternoon after thoroughly exploring this massive grassland savannah measuring 1,500 square kilometers.

You can book a balloon ride today that takes off early in the morning. After landing, the crew helps you out of the basket and escorts you to a lovely setting for a bush breakfast, a lifetime experience worth the price. Later, join your driver guide at a location and proceed with your full-day game drive.

Day 6: Masai Mara - Serengeti National Park

Today, prepare for a long but breathtaking drive to the Isebania border post, which separates Kenya and Tanzania. After completing the border immigration process, you will switch vehicles and meet your Tanzanian guide. He will welcome you and take you to the expansive Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, with lunch served en route. You will arrive at the camp late in the afternoon, so keep an eye out for the millions of animals that inhabit this area during the drive.

Tonight, you will enjoy an authentic African safari experience, as the lodge is situated within the national park and in the midst of all the animal activity. Upon arrival, your driver and the camp manager will provide you with a safety briefing. Please note that the drive from Masai Mara to Serengeti is a true African "massage", featuring rough roads, and can take up to eight to nine hours, including the border crossing and two pit stops. Alternatively, Camptrek Safaris can arrange a four-hour flight transfer from Masai Mara to Serengeti.

Day 7: Full day in Serengeti National Park

You will wake up to another glorious day in the Serengeti. You will start the day with an early morning game drive to search for animals when they are at their most active. Then, you will return to the lodge for a relaxed breakfast and lunch. You will spend the hottest part of the day relaxing in the camp reading your favorite book writing your journal about the safari or just listening to your favorite music while observing the birds. Do not stress, the animals will be doing the same.

You will head off again in the afternoon for another drive through the park. You will return to the lodge for dinner and another night under the Serengeti's stars. Note: There is also an option of an early hot air balloon ride here. Please ask the tour manager before booking this trip if you are interested.

After a morning game drive in the Serengeti, you will travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a journey of about three hours.

Day 9: Ngorongoro - Zanzibar island Nungwi beach via Arusha Airport

After an early breakfast, you will drive to Arusha Airport for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar, known as the Spice Island. This beautiful destination is famous for its idyllic beaches, winding cobblestone alleyways, and vibrant bazaars. Upon your arrival, the company representative will meet you, and you will head to the northern beaches. If you choose, you can make an optional visit to a spice plantation.

During this guided tour, you will learn about the island's renowned spice trade and have the chance to touch, smell, and taste a variety of spices, including cinnamon, vanilla, and ginger. You can also sample some tea made with these spices. After lunch, you will proceed to the northern beaches, where you can enjoy the stunning white sand, sparkling blue sea, and beautiful skies of the Indian Ocean. You will arrive at the beach resort in plenty of time to begin your relaxing beach stay.

Please note that the most convenient option for departure is Zanzibar Airport. However, if you are departing from Dar es Salaam airport, ferries leave Zanzibar at 7:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.

It is crucial to allow enough time to return to the mainland if you need to catch your flight from Dar es Salaam Airport. They can also arrange a flight from Zanzibar to connect with your outbound flight from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, but please refrain from booking it before 3:00 p.m.

Amboseli National Park

Amboseli National Park (392 square kilometers) is famously known for the breathtaking view of Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest freestanding mountain on earth and the tallest in Africa (5895m). Amboseli is also an elephant’s paradise where the massive African savannah elephants roam from swamp to swamp grazing all day. Because of the abundance of water and pasture, other animals to be spotted here are cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, gnus, gazelles, hippos, and many others.

Lake Nakuru National Park

This park is a true natural wonder, boasting rocky escarpments, patches of vibrant yellow-barked acacia forest, and a waterfall. It is home to diverse wildlife, including flamingos, black and white rhinos, majestic lions, elusive leopards, buffaloes, and the endangered Rothschild's giraffe. - it is a sight you will never forget.

Masai Mara National Reserve

One of Camptrek Safaris' favorite places to look for wildlife in Kenya is the Masai Mara National Reserve. That is because the wildlife here is incredible, with big cats (lions, leopards, and cheetahs) and elephants among the highlights. There is a very good chance you'll also see giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, hyenas, and, of course, impalas. Bring your binoculars, because more than 500 species of birds have been recorded in the reserve.

It is a place of beautiful savannah landscapes as well, with lots of acacia trees. You will visit the reserve is a highlight for many travelers. The Mara is renowned for its great herds of plains game animals like leopards, cheetahs, lions, and other herbivores. It has virtually every other type of wildlife to be found in Kenya.

Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro is famous for its crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, teeming with wildlife. The crater’s steep walls create a natural enclosure, making it one of the best places to see a wide variety of animals in a relatively small area.

Nungwi Beach

One major destination is Nungwi Beach, located at the northwestern tip of the island. This stunning beach features powdery white sand, crystal blue waters, and an abundance of exotic flora and fauna.
