BuyMore Adventures Migration Safari Kenya Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi / Samburu National Reserve

At 07:30, you’ll depart from your hotel in Nairobi and transfer by road to Samburu. Drive through beautiful farmlands as you head north towards the semi-arid countryside of the colorful Samburu tribesmen.

On arrival, you’ll enjoy lunch and rest at camp followed by afternoon game viewing; animals in Samburu include rare grants gazelle, gerenuk, gravy’s zebra, beisa Oryx and other rare wild plants.

Other activities on offer include guided bush walks, camel rides, bush sundowners, cultural visits and walks to nearby Samburu villages and others. Evening transfer back to camp for rest and dinner

Day 2: Samburu National Reserve

Early breakfast will be followed by a full day game viewing or any other desired activity for the day such as guided nature walks, cultural visits to nearby villages, camel rides, massage, bush barbecues, animal tracking and guiding or a visit to Samburu rock art caves.

Day 3: Samburu / Meru National Park

After you enjoy early breakfast you will have a road transfer from Samburu to Meru National Park. On arrival, check in for rest and relaxation by the poolside or in your rooms as you wait for lunch to be served.

After lunch, you will enjoy a rewarding afternoon game drive within the park. Animals easily spotted include elephant, hippo, lion, leopard, cheetah, black rhino, antelopes, and others.

You can also visit the Adamson’s gravesites with a guided tour of the park in the company of your knowledgeable guide / naturalist. Other activities include guided bush walks, fishing expeditions and bush barbecues.

Day 4: Meru National Park

Early breakfast will be followed by a game viewing or any other scheduled activity for the day such as guided nature walks, cultural visits to nearby villages, bush barbecues or bird walks.

Day 5: Meru National Park / Lake Nakuru National Park

Enjoy your early breakfast which will be followed by check out and road transfer to Lake Nakuru; optional stops at the equator can be arranged depending on the route that the driver will use.

Arrival at Lake Nakuru for check in and lunch at the camp; the afternoon is spent exploring and site-seeing within the park. Animals and birds that are easy to spot include flamingo, pelican, stork, white rhino, buffalo, giraffe, warthog and others.

You can enjoy brisk walking by the shores of the lake to enjoy the cool evening breeze. Transfer back to camp for rest and dinner.

Day 6: Lake Nakuru National Park / Masai Mara

You will have an early morning pre-breakfast game drive to spot animals before sunrise; this is followed by breakfast at 09:00 then departure from park and drive to Masai Mara. Arrival will be for late lunch at the camp; then relax as you wait for your scheduled game drive at 16:00.

This is a perfect opportunity to see the big five (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and buffalo), many plains game, bird species, and the Masai community. Other activities that you can enjoy include guided bush walks, cultural visit to a Masai village, bush barbecues and sundowners, balloon safaris and animal tracking.

Day 7: Masai Mara

Early breakfast followed by full day game viewing in the company of your knowledgeable safari guide will start your day. Masai Mara is teeming with bird-life, animals, and relaxing environment for nature lovers all year round. A hot air balloon ride above the Mara Reserve takes place every day before sunrise at an extra cost.

Day 8: Masai Mara / Nairobi

Breakfast will be followed by check out then morning exploration of the park one last time. After your game drive, exit from park and be driven back to Nairobi with stop for lunch at Narok town. Proceed to Nairobi arriving in the evening for transfer to your hotel / airport for your flight.

Arrival by airplane

Please plan to arrive in Nairobi as the safari will start there. To assist you, below is the list of the airports in Nairobi:

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 40% of the total price.
  • The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled up to 14 days before the arrival date.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
