Day 1: Lusaka
After arrival in Lusaka transfer to a small lodge on the outskirts of town. Overnight in chalets at Pioneer Camp or similar. Dinner in a restaurant (meals not included).
Days 2, 3, and 4: Lower Zambezi National Park
After breakfast, drive through Lusaka and down the escarpment to the Zambezi valley. A visit to Lower Zambezi Park is one of the highlights of Zambia.
The Zambezi River on the one side and the escarpment on the other form the backdrop of the game viewing. You will do game drives in the park and boating along the river shore to watch the animals come to drink. On one of these days, you will do a sunset boat cruise on the Zambezi.
You will stay overnight in chalets at Kasaka Lodge or Lower Zambezi Lodge on the banks of the Zambezi River.

Day 5 and 6: via Lusaka to Kafue National Park
Today you drive up the escarpment and back to Lusaka, where you do some shopping for the next days in the bush. In the afternoon, you carry on to Kafue National Park, where you stay in chalets at Mawimbi Bush Camp Lodge on the bank of the Kafue River.

Days 7 and 8: Busanga Plains – the northern part of Kafue National Park
Early start and transfer in the north-western direction to Busanga Plains This area can only be visited in a very limited time of the year. You will spend 2 days in this remote wilderness to explore the area on game drives. Overnight in Kasonso Camp.

Day 9: Lusaka
You leave the park and carry on to Lusaka, where you will spend the afternoon at the lodge or do some shopping in the capital. Overnight in chalets at Wilddog Lodge or similar. Dinner in the restaurant.

Day 10: Flight to Mfuwe – South Luangwa National Park
Transfer to the airport in Lusaka and take a flight to the airport in Mfuwe. Transfer to your lodge next to the Luangwa River. You will be doing a night game drive in the afternoon. Overnight in chalets at Wildlife Camp or similar.

Days 11, 12, and 13: South Luangwa Park
South Luangwa National Park is known for its abundance of African wildlife: Thorneycroft’s giraffe, Cookson’s Gnu, Crawshay Zebra, and big herds of buffalo and elephants. Game drives along the Luangwa River often produce spectacular sightings. Hippo families can be seen in great numbers in the river, unparalleled in Africa. The colorful Carmine bee-eaters are often seen perching in front of their nests in the riverbanks.
Overnight in chalets of Wildlife Camp or similar.

Day 14: Departure day
Transfer to the airport Mfuwe and flight back home.
Meals: Breakfast
