Maasai Mara Game Reserve

In the heart of Africa's great plains in Kenya is the Maasai Mara full of unspoiled wilderness. It offers the best wild game and bird viewing in entire Africa. The views across the rolling golden grasslands studded with acacia trees, rivers, and forests are dazzling. The sense of space is overwhelming. Throughout the year, the Maasai Mara is a place of natural drama, a kaleidoscope of color and life.

Stunning of all are the months between July and October when the savannah teems with animals during the Great Wildebeest Migration. Millions of wildebeest gather in Maasai Mara and it is one of the natural wonders of the world. The landscape there is a scenic grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close-range viewing and photography.

Lake Nakuru

Lake Nakuru is referred to as the pink lake for the thousands of pink flamingos and other bird life teeming in the lake. It is a bird watcher's paradise. It has a surprising number of animals. It is also a rhino sanctuary and the big five, except the elephant, can be seen there. The park contains a sanctuary for the conservation of the white rhino while species like the Cape buffalo and waterbuck can be seen near the shoreline.

Hell's Gate National Park

The park has attractions of two extinct volcanoes like Olkaria and Hobley's. The obsidian forms from the cool, molten lava. Within Hell's Gate is the Hell's Gate Gorge which is lined with red cliffs that contain two volcanic plugs, Fisher's Tower and Central Tower which is a smaller gorge that extends to the south and of which a path descends into hot springs.
