The Maasai Mara game reserve is one of the best known and most popular reserves in the whole of Africa. At times and in certain places it can get a little overrun with tourist minibuses, but there is something so special about it that it tempts you back time and again.
The Masai Mara lies in the Great Rift Valley, which is a fault line some 3,500 miles long, from Ethiopia's Red Sea through Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, and into Mozambique.
During this safari, you will enjoy daily delicious meals plus one liter of mineral water per day. During the firs day, you will enjoy lunch and dinner and during the third day, breakfast and lunch will be served. All meals will be served during the second day.
Game drives involve driving through the reserve in a 4×4 vehicle with open roofs, perfect for photography and video recording of the activities in the wild.
Walking safaris involve an adventurous trek in the Maasai Mara ecosystem giving you a chance to see the animals in close view. Most camps and lodges do offer walks and one will normally walk with a Maasai who explains the way of the Maasai culture, tracks, sounds, and a lot more.
Bird watching, also called birding involves observing the birds in their natural habitat with the eyes or listening to their calls. The Mara attracts a lot of birders.
The Maasai are semi-nomadic people famous for their distinctive custom and colorful dress, who eagerly welcome visitors to their homesteads.
Done by specialists, this normally means that you are traveling for a few days on horse back rather than in a vehicle.
This is an opportunity to fly over the Mara using a privately chartered aircraft or helicopter.
