This is a safari for the budget traveler and those looking for an authentic African bush safari experience. From the endless savannah plains of the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem to the flamingo-filled shows of Lake Manyara, this package is the ultimate authentic adventure safari of the best of East Africa Wildlife Parks. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, visit an authentic Masai Village, and see the wildebeest dodging the jaws of crocodiles at the Mara River. This is an adventure like no other!
During this safari, you will be staying in various accommodations as outlined in the itinerary.
Kenya Tanzania Budget wildlife safari starts with a confirmed pick up then transfer to the office for briefing and introduction. Safari starts between 8 a.m. and 8:30 with a drive via the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to witness the escarpment wall. Get information from your Kenya Safari guide then descend and travel to Narok town for a hot lunch at a restaurant. Have some shopping before the safari deepens to Masai Mara Game Reserve to arrive at Miti Mingi Eco Camp for check-in and a little siesta. Late afternoon game drive until sunset, see the sunset, and drive back to the camp for dinner, bonfire, and overnight.
Your day is scheduled for a safari experience in Masai Mara Game Reserve which is termed as the jewel for the wild animal viewing area. Breakfast at the campsite, then leave with packed picnic lunch boxes for an extensive game drive. Explore Masai Mara Game Reserve with several up-close encounters with wild animals. Search for the Big Five and other wild animals that inhabit here.
The day sightseeing includes large herds of elephants, buffalos, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, antelopes, gazelles, zebras, giraffes, elands, hippos, and crocodiles among others. Break for the picnic lunch in the open wilderness and continue with the search until late evening. Exit the game reserve and drive to the camp for dinner, bonfire and overnight.
After a great second night in the wilderness, you will have agreed with the guide for an early morning game drive before breakfast. Or alternatively, enjoy an optional visit to the local Masai village for a cultural tour and interaction with the locals. Meet the community at their homesteads, and enjoy the Masai dances. Buy genuine souvenirs and return to the campsite with a great morning experience for a full breakfast. Later check out and drive via Narok with great views of the Rift Valley to arrive at a Nakuru budget hotel in the early evening. Check-in and enjoy the evening at leisure to spice up the Kenya Tanzania budget wildlife safari experience. Dinner and overnight will be served between 7 and 8 p.m.
Breakfast at the Nakuru Budget Hotel, check out and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park for at least 4 hours for a game drive. Lake Nakuru National Park is one of the most beautiful National Parks in Kenya. Over a million flamingos can be found here depending on the lake water level. The national park is also home to many bird species, offering you sweet melodious sounds and a nature experience like no other.
Lake Nakuru National Park is also home to the endangered black and white rhinoceros. Other wild animals include lions, buffalos, monkeys, baboons, gazelles, giraffes, and zebras are also common.
Before noon, exit Lake Nakuru National Park and drive to Amboseli National Park with a stopover for lunch on the main highway. Arrive at Amboseli Kimana Camp in the late evening for check-in, dinner, bonfire, and overnight.
African breakfast at the campsite with immense views of Mount Kilimanjaro if the weather permits. By 8 a.m., leave the campsite for a full-day safari experience across Amboseli National Park. Transverse the Amboseli plains with a game drive. Visit the Amboseli viewpoint for thrilling views and continue the game search till you reach the base of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Break for the picnic lunches and later with a game drive move to the Amboseli swampy area where the elephants bathe in abundance as they graze on wet grass. Other animals visit in search of drinking water as the area serves as the only source of water during the dry season. By 5 p.m., exit the park and drive to the campsite for at least 2 hours, then you will have time for optional activity. Dinner, Bonfire, and overnight will be at the same campsite.
Early breakfast at the campsite, check out and drive to Amboseli National Park for a game drive en route to the Namanga border. Enjoy at least 2 hours 30 minutes drive from Amboseli Kimana Gate to Amboseli Mashenani gate. Exit the park and drive to the Namanga border for immigration and health matters. At around 10 a.m. the shuttle from Nairobi will pick you up for a drive to Arusha town where the Kenya-Tanzania budget wildlife safari will continue for the next four days as you cover the Northern Tanzania Park. A professional driver-guide will meet you at the Ambassador Hotel in the morning for a briefing. Depart Arusha with packed picnic lunches and drive to Lake Manyara for the sightseeing of the day. Lake Manyara is a soda ash lake that consists of huge flocks of flamingos and gives breathtaking scenery.
The park is also famously known for its tree-climbing lions, a big number of elephants, giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, warthogs, baboons, and lesser-known wildlife like the dik-diks, and the klipspringer. Dinner and overnight will be at Sun Bright Campsite or Panorama Campsite.
The Kenya and Tanzania budget wildlife safari continues to Serengeti National Park. After breakfast, you head to Serengeti via the Olduvai Gorge Museum, where the early man appeared, a million years ago. You can make an optional visit to the museum at an extra cost of 40 USD per person.
Upon arrival, you will head to the Serengeti National Park, which is widely known for the greatest wildlife spectacle, the great migration of wildebeest. The Plains are also home to a resident population of elephants, cheetahs, lions, giraffes, and birds. Dinner and overnight shall be at the temporarily fixed tents in Central Serengeti Nguchiro Campsite.
On this Africa safari tour, your final safari destination is the Ngorongoro Crater. After breakfast, you will have your final game drive in Serengeti National Park, known for the great wildebeest migration and many animals. The drive covers the central Serengeti area and more areas in search of more wild animals, visit the Serengeti Kopjes in search of lions. Enjoy a picnic lunch then exit Serengeti National Park and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservancy Area. Optional visit to the local community, dinner, bonfire, and overnight at Charity Hotel.
Today, after breakfast, leave with packed lunch and descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a six-hour game drive. Ngorongoro Crater has a stunning landscape consisting of vast expanses of woodlands, savannah forests, and highlands.
This combined with a high concentration of wildlife, ranging from the endangered rhino species, the big cats, which include the lions, the elusive leopard, cheetahs, etc., and others like zebras, buffalos, elands, warthogs, hippos, and the giant African elephants, makes it one of the most beautiful natural wonders in the world. Later drive back to Arusha, with a drop off at Ambassador Hotel booked bed and breakfast.
