Lenchada Tourist Camp

Lenchada Tourist Camp is a budget semi-luxury accommodation and eco-friendly safari tented camp in the north-west of the Masai Mara. Located on the Oloolaimutia hills on the Western border of this world-famous reserve, Lenchada Tourist Camp offers the perfect starting point for your safari.

The camp accommodates 21 persons in single, double, and triple accommodation. Each of these accommodation options suit to different traveler’s needs but the high standards of service are maintained throughout the camp no matter what option you choose.

The friendly receptionists are available and can deal with any of your inquiries and questions and furnish you with all the up to date information on various tour activities in Masai Mara as well as bookings, no matter what activity you are looking at doing from game drives, balloon safaris, walking, trekking, and cultural visits.

Lenchada Tourist Camp has en-suite bath rooms with hot and cold water, western toilet, changing rooms, and lockers for valuables. The tent canvas wall front can be opened completely to allow an open view from the sleeping and bathroom areas. A generator is provided to charge phones and cameras from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.

Kibo Safari Camp

Kibo Safari Camp is a luxury tented camp in Amboseli National Park at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. Kibo Safari Camp has 73 self-contained tents for single, double, triple, and family accommodation. The beds have been custom designed and locally made using bush logs and will ensure a good night’s sleep. All tents have flush toilets, showers, and wash basins. You can enjoy your shower as you like: bubbling hot or refreshing cold.

Program

Day 0: Pre-arrival

Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), you will be picked up by the representative and transferred to your booked Nairobi hotel. There, you will take a rest and stay overnight. Please note that the accommodation is not included in the price.

Day 1: Nairobi - Maasai Mara

After breakfast, you will be picked up at your hotel around 08:30 and be driven via the Great Rift Valley to Maasai Mara. Lunch will be taken en route. You will then continue your journey and will arrive at Maasai Mara in the late afternoon. Maasai Mara has over 450 species of animals that have been recorded. Spotting lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, buffaloes, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, and a variety of antelopes will be the highlight of your day.

Afterward, you will check in at a tented camp. At around 16:00 to 18:00, you will enjoy a game drive at the famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve and experience the spectacular scenery. At the end of the day, you will have dinner and stay overnight at Lenchada Tourist Camp or Enchoro camp. These camps are self-contained tents with a private toilet or hot shower bathroom inside.

Day 2: Maasai Mara

After breakfast, you will spend your day with game viewing and explore this spectacular park. On the evening, you will have optional activities such as visiting Maasai Mara Village and enjoying a cultural show. Visiting Maasai Mara Village, you can get a glimpse into the lives of this semi-nomadic tribe that occupies Kenya and Tanzania. For centuries, the Maasai people have led a lifestyle centered on cattle rearing and today this tradition still thrives despite Western pressures. Moreover, you can also discover how the tribe lives and learn about their customs, ceremonies, and rites of passage.

Day 3: Maasai Mara - Lake Nakuru National Park

After pre-morning breakfast, you will go for an early morning game drive to see the early hunters. Then, you will return back to your tented camp for another breakfast. Afterward, you will leave the camp and go to Lake Nakuru National Park. Lunch will be taken en route while dinner will be provided at Golden Palace Resort Nakuru. Furthermore, you will arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park in the evening and stay overnight at the lanetmatfam Resort Nakuru/similar.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park - Lake Naivasha

After early breakfast, you will have a morning game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park. At the end of the day, you will return for dinner and stay overnight at Sweet Lake Resort Naivasha/similar.

Day 5: Lake Naivasha - Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, you will have an optional boat ride at Lake Naivasha. Afterward, you will depart for Amboseli National Park while your lunch will be taken en route. Then, you will continue your journey, passing through Maasai Mara land to arrive at manjaro camp Amboseli. At the end of the day, you will have dinner and stay the night at the camp.

Day 6: Amboseli National Park

On this day, you will have an early morning game drive. Then, you will return to your accommodation for breakfast and relax for another game viewing, whether it is in the evening or after breakfast. Then, you will have more game drives in search of the well-known predators and their opponents like zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, and hippos while having a view of Mount Kilimanjaro. Furthermore, you will take your packed lunch. At the end of the day, you will return to manjaro camp amboseli lodge for dinner and stay overnight at the camp.

Day 7: Amboseli National Park - Nairobi

In the early morning, you will have a game drive session with a chance to see and experience Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest point in Africa. You will have a chance to see elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, and birdlife. You will then return to a tented camp for breakfast. Afterward, you will depart from Amboseli National Park for Nairobi with lunch en-route. You will arrive in Nairobi in the evening and be transferred to the airport.

Note: Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru safari will be conducted in a group, while Lake Naivasha and Amboseli safari will be conducted in private.

Maasai Mara

Maasai Mara is the land of African legend where lions are abundant throughout the park, as well as elephants, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of gazelle species. Cheetahs and leopards are also regularly seen while rhinos are less commonly seen. Furthermore, the annual wildebeest migration occurs from July to September. On this time, big animals and their predators will be present in abundance. Additionally, several species of Bee-eater, the flying rainbow bird which is the top of the Maasai Mara bird list, also present in the reserve as well.

Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru National Park is located in the Great Rift Valley, 1750 meters above sea level. It is known as an ornithological paradise by birdwatchers because the lake is famous for its greatest bird spectacle on earth. It boasts anywhere between 1 and 2 million of pink flamingos feed on the abundant algae thriving in the warm water of the lake. It is one of the parks that has been specifically established for the protection of birds, specifically flamingoes. Additionally, more than 450 species of birds have been recorded here. Moreover, other endangered species such as rhino is also protected here, as well as Columbus monkeys, giraffes, leopards, and a variety of plain antelopes.
