Serengeti Pamoja Camp (2 nights)

Program

Day 1 - Nairobi to Amboseli

You will be picked up from your booked hotel in Nairobi at around 8:15 a.m. After the briefing, you will depart by starting to drive south towards Mombasa road and proceed via Emali to arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. At around 4:00 p.m., you will drive and enjoy the evening game drive with a very real chance of seeing lions, giraffes, and elephants on the very first evening. To add to the experience, Mount Kilimanjaro will provide a beautiful backdrop. Your dinner and accommodation will be provided at Amboseli AA Lodge.

Day 2 - A full-day game drive in Amboseli

After breakfast, you will depart with picnic lunches for the full-day game drive, with a view of the animals, including elephants, lions, and cheetahs, and the scenic beauty. At around 4:00 p.m., you may have optional activities such as a visit to Maasai village or continuing with a game drive at no extra cost up to 6:00 p.m. with an evening game drive to watch the glistening majestic snow cap of Kilimanjaro. At the end of the day, you will return for the dinner and overnight at Amboseli AA Lodge.

Day 3 - Amboseli to Lake Manyara National Park

After your breakfast, you will leave the lodge for the game drive en route as you leave the park for the Namanga border post for immigration formalities and drive to Lake Manyara National Park for the evening game drive. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions and birdlife. Inland of the floodplain, a narrow belt of acacia woodland is the favored haunt of Manyara's legendary tree-climbing lions and impressively tusked elephants squadrons of banded mongoose dart between the acacias while the diminutive Kirk’s dik-dik forages in the shade.

Pairs of klipspringer are often seen silhouetted on the rocks above a field of searing hot springs that streams and bubble adjacent to the lake shore in the far south of the park. Your dinner and overnight will be at Lake Manyara Twiga Lodge.

Day 4 - Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will drive to Ngorongoro and ascend up to 2,000 feet down the crater by a four-wheel drive vehicle for a full-day crater tour before having a picnic lunch at the crater. Also referred to as “the eighth wonder of the world” and stretching across some 8,300 square kilometers, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in Northern Tanzania boasts a blend of landscapes, wildlife, people, and archaeology that is unsurpassed in Africa.

The volcanoes, grasslands, waterfalls, and mountain forests are home to an abundance of animals and to the Maasai. In the evening, you will ascend to the lodge for the dinner and stay overnight at Ngorongoro Bougainvillea Safari Lodge.

Day 5 - Ngorongoro to Serengeti

After your breakfast, you will depart for Serengeti passing through Olduvai Gorge, the site of Leakey’s family discovery of fossils of human and animal ancestors dating back almost two million years. The Serengeti ecosystem is one of the oldest on Earth. The essential features of climate, vegetation, and fauna have barely changed in the past million years.

Early man himself made an appearance in Olduvai Gorge about two million years ago. Some patterns of life, death, adaptation, and migration are as old as the hills themselves. Meals and overnight will be served at Serengeti Pamoja Camp.

Day 6 - A full day in Serengeti

Today is a full day in the Serengeti plains with the morning and afternoon game viewing and drive. You will search for a wild game that you might have missed in the previous game drive. It is the migration for which Serengeti is perhaps most famous. Over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November, and then swirl west and north after the long rains in April, May, and June.

So strong is the ancient instinct to move that no drought, gorge, or crocodile-infested river can hold them back. You will enjoy your meals and stay overnight at Serengeti Pamoja Camp.

Day 7 - Serengeti to Arusha Airport (ARK)

After breakfast, you will depart to Arusha town arriving in the late afternoon with a transfer to Arusha Airport (ARK) or Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA), connect to fly to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), and proceed for your check-in for your international flight back home.
