Transportation

In Kenya, Bruno Safaris uses 7-seater vans with pop-up roofs which ensure each passenger to get a window seating. All of the vehicles are fitted with a long range high-frequency radio for communication, cooler boxes, and first aid kits. All of the safari vehicles also have a rear rack for your luggage that leaves the inside of the vehicle uncluttered for you to move around freely and capture some great photos.

The vehicles have 2 diesel tanks and 2 spare tires, ensuring that even though on the most adventurous safari and most remote areas, you will never have to worry about running out of fuel and a flat tire. You can also experience this safari in a 4x4 Toyota Land-Cruiser (Jeep). The prices are as follows:

  • Price for 1 person: 2400 USD
  • Price for 2 persons: 3200 USD
  • Price for 4 persons: 4800 USD
  • Price for 6 persons: 6600 USD

During this safari, you will visit Mara River.

Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru National Park is home to up to 1.5 million flamingos plus 450 other species of birds, rhinos, lions, leopards, buffaloes, Thompson’s and Grant's gazelles, the rare long-eared leaf-nosed bats, colobus monkeys, rock hyraxes, hippos, leopards, lions, rhinos, waterbucks, impalas, gazelles, striped hyenas, bat-eared foxes, wild cats, reedbucks, golden cats, and the endangered reticulated giraffes among other animals.

During peak season, over one million flamingos plus half a million pelicans congregate on the lake. The park also contains Kenya’s largest population of rhinos. Lake Nakuru, located within the Lake Nakuru National Park, is a shallow strongly alkaline lake set in a picturesque landscape of surrounding woodland and grassland. The landscape includes areas of marsh and grasslands alternating with rocky cliffs and outcrops, stretches of acacia woodland, and rocky hillsides covered with a euphorbia forest.

Maasai Mara National Reserve

Maasai Mara National Reserve is an outstanding and one of Kenya's finest wildlife reserve with an abundant wildlife and birds. Between July and October, you can see the great wildebeest migration. Maasai Mara National Reserve is one of the best plains' game reserve where you can actually encounter a live Discovery Channel, a haven for viewing a congregation of all sorts of animals in a five-mile radius. A pride of lions can be spotted ready to make a run for a gazelle, a cheetah and its cub taking a nap on a rock as well as a pair of ostriches walking the open stretches of the savannah.

Aberdares National Park

Aberdares National Park was created in 1950 to protect the forested slopes and moors of Aberdare Mountains. While the park has elephants, lions, rhinos, black leopards, and the beautiful but elusive bongo antelopes, this place is rarely visited by safari companies and individual travelers. There are a number of reasons for this. One is that the high rainfall turns the roads to mudslides plus you need a 4x4 vehicle to get anywhere. As a result, the park often closes in the wet season. Added to this, there is a dense forest which makes game viewing tricky.

Mount Kenya National Park

Mount Kenya National Park was created around Africa's second highest mountain. It is a favorite place for trekkers and serious mountain climbers. The forest and lower slopes abound with the elephants, Cape buffalos, and fantastic bird lives as well as giant forest hogs.

Samburu National Reserve

Samburu National Reserve is one of the lesser-known national parks but is nevertheless teeming with life. Situated alongside Ewaso Nyiro River, there is plenty to attract wildlife from the surrounding savannah plains. The reserves within the ecological zone V which is classified as arid and semi-arid with a moisture index of 42 to 57 indicates that evapotranspiration is greater than available moisture.

During this safari, you will get daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You will savor your lunch at Nairobi Carnivore Restaurant on the last day of the safari. In addition, East Africa offers an impressive range of food to suit all visitors needs from vegetarian diets to full course meals.

Whether in a luxury city hotel or deep in the bush, a traveler is almost guaranteed to find a mouth-watering buffet with a wide variety of meats to fresh salads. The food is relatively safe to try while in a hotel or lodge which caters for international tourists. Soft drinks and alcohol are also readily available, cheap, and safe to drink at an additional cost.

During your stay at Kongoni Camp, you can spoil yourself with spa treatments that can be enjoyed at an additional cost. Set in the grounds of Kongoni Camp, they have the serene and natural tented spa where it’s possible to dream under the influence of the relaxing therapies as well as the sounds of their garden and believe for a moment that you are in the bush or on safari. Kongoni Camp spa treatments include massages, skin care therapies, skin polishes, body envelopments, and the special Kongoni collection.

"We communicated with Bruno safaris way before we arrived in kenya, they were quick to reply to email and offer a great itinerary, fitting to our wishes. When we finally arrived in Nairobi Lawrence was kind enough to come to where we were staying and gave us options of lodges and what we could expect. The following day he picked us up with the driver to make sure that we left on time for the 5 days 4 nights in different lodges. Our driver was George a good driver with lots of knowledge about the animals and birds. We stayed at Sentrim in Amboseli with a nice view of Mt. Kilimanjaro, highly recommend, next stop was Ngulia Lodge which was a disappointment but had lots of birds for those who love birds, nice place to be. Taita Salt lick, a must visit. Lovely lodge with friendly staff. The red elephants in Tsavo east was a plus at Voi Lodge. We saw almost all the big five, George made sure we captured every detail and was always on time and asking if we were comfortable. At the end of the trip he was more than a friend than our driver. Our final destination was at Neptune Hotel, Mombasa. We had a problem with our credit card and Lawrence really helped. He met us in Nairobi and took us to the bank to get clarification of the mistakes made. We have been on safari in kenya with different tour companies but i would recommend Bruno Safaris any time. Lovely staff and budget friendly. We look forward to another safari with them soon...Destination, Samburu!"

"My colleague and I were in Nairobi on business for a week and had two free days afterwards. We really wanted to see some wildlife, so I contacted Bruno Safaris to see if we could arrange a short trip to Amboseli National Park. They were more than happy to accommodate us and Lawrence was a joy to work with. They even picked us up directly from our accommodation! Our driver and guide, Robinson, was reliable, friendly and easy going. We stayed at the Kibo Safari Camp, which despite it's 'budget' description is actually quite luxurious, with a nice bar, restaurant, and swimming pool, as well as incredible views of Mt. Kilimanjaro (which we were fortunate to see both days of our stay!). The wildlife viewing in Amboseli was absolutely incredible--we saw elephants, giraffes, hippos, multiple antelope species, hyenas, ostrich, wildebeest, buffalo, warthogs, and lions! I am a birder, and was so thrilled by the diversity of species we saw (nearly 50) and Robinson's knowledge of them. From the Kori bustard to the saddle-billed stork, we encountered some truly magnificent birds and I was able to get great photos. Robinson was always happy to stop so I could get a better look, and was helpful in identifying the trickier species. I highly recommend Bruno Safaris and am looking forward to booking with them again next time I am in Kenya. "

"We had a great experience with Bruno Safaris. After a week of business stay in Nairobi we added on a 2 day, one night safari to Amboseli National Park. The Kibo Camp where we stayed was quoted to be a budget location but turned out to be a pretty luxurious treat for us with bars, restaurant, nice swimming pool with a great view of Kilimanjaro . In two drives through the park we saw a plethora of wildlife (everything from Elephant herds, Giraffes, Hippos, Lions, Buffalos etc etc), in addition to many beautiful birds. Our guide was very knowledgeable about all animals and specifically also birds and did go about and beyond to make our travel experience great. "

"We arranged our 2 day safari trip to Amboseli with Bruno Safaris by phone. Lowrence was very helpfull and clear about what he could offer us. Even the fact that we arranged the trip just one day up front, the safari trip was arranged perfectly and they even past by our hotel the same day to meet with us and show the van which they were using for the trip."

"The ride to the park took about 4 hours from Nairobi. Lodge was comfortable and came included with lunch, dinner and breakfast. The trip included 2 long game drives. Our driver Joseph knew the park very well and showed us some amazing places."

"All together we where very pleased about this trip and I would recommend it if you visit Nairobi. "

"We booked an overnight safari with this company and I was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. Our drivers were punctual and friendly, always helping with our bags. They were also very knowledgeable during the safari itself and made the entire experience a fun one! They allowed us to take as much time as we needed with photos and were respectful of our schedule when he needed to hurry a bit. The open-top vans were decently comfortable, though we only had 5 passengers. A large group probably would've felt more crowded. When they dropped us off at the airport, Lawrence even waited with us to make sure we found the correct terminal."

"I asked them to organize two one-day tours, one to Lake Nakuru and the other Amboseli from Nairobi. It turned out that I was the only customer both times, but the price remained unchanged (actually, they even offered me discounts). Drivers were professional. One driver constantly contacted other drivers in the park and successfully showed me a lion family and a rhino. The other flexibly changed the lunch place at my request. Although it was the low season, when wildlife is sparse, I enjoyed the tours all the same."
