Bruno Safaris Kenya Program

The type of safari vehicle to be used is a safari minibus (van) or 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser (Jeep). All of the vehicles have rear rack for your luggage which leaves the inside of the vehicle uncluttered for you to move around freely and capture some great photos. Pop-up hatch roofs allow all passengers better game viewing, sightseeing, and photography. Due to a variety of factors, smoking is not permitted in the safari vehicles. However, regular stops can be arranged for you to enjoy your cigarette.

The van has 8 seats although Bruno Safaris allows a maximum of six passengers in each van thus each passenger is guaranteed a window seat. Meanwhile, the 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser (Jeep) is specially made for rainy season since it does deal with inconveniences of getting stuck in the rough countryside during your safari. If you use 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser (Jeep) for your safari, the prices are as follows:

  • 1 person: 1,900 USD

This safari will take you from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park, Tsavo Weast National Park, Taita Hills Game Sanctuary, and Tsavo East National Park.

Amboseli National park

Amboseli as a safari destination hosts large elephant herds, the big cats, herbivores, and numerous bird species including ostrich and a variety of plains game. Amboseli National Park lies immediately north-west of Mount Kilimanjaro, on the border with Tanzania. The park covers 392 square kilometers, and forms part of the much larger 3,000-square-kilometer Amboseli ecosystem. Large concentrations of wildlife occur here in the dry season, making Amboseli a popular safari reserve.

Amboseli National Park embodies five main wildlife habitats (open plains, acacia woodland, rocky thorn bush country, swamps, and marshland) and covers part of a Pleistocene lake basin. Within the basin is a temporary lake, Lake Amboseli, that floods during years of heavy rainfall. Amboseli National Park has over 80 different mammals to be found ranging from tiny (and rarely seen) spectacle elephant shrew to the huge bulk of the African elephant. There are also over 400 bird species.

Tsavo West National Park

Tsavo West National Park is a 9,000-square-kilometer game park in southern Kenya located about 200 kilometers southeast of Nairobi. Separated only by the Mombasa / Nairobi road from Tsavo East, Tsavo West is part of the entire Tsavo ecosystem. Famous for the Mzima Springs with its unique underwater hippo observatory and for the Shetani Lava Flow as well as Chaimu Volcanic Crater, the park offers plenty of opportunities to explore on foot. In addition, the park has recorded over 600 species of birds.

Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary

Game drives at Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary provide an ideal opportunity to view and photograph the diverse array of wildlife. The water holes below provide a wonderful opportunity to view animals at close proximity in their habitat. The sanctuary also offers many diverse opportunities for you to experience the unique flora, fauna, and culture of this fascinating ecosystem. You can spend the day by having an excursion to the nearby parks with spectacular views, indigenous forest, and rural markets.

Tsavo East National Park

Tsavo East National Park is huge. Over 11,747 square kilometers of bushy grasslands, open plains, and semi-arid acacia scrub make up Kenya's oldest and largest game park. Tsavo East National Park is credited with one of the world's leading biodiversity strongholds. From red-brown rivers surrounded by green grass and doum palms to the endless plains covered in red dust with a single surviving acacia tree, the scenery is constantly changing.
