The type of safari vehicle to be used is a safari minibus (van) or 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser (Jeep). All of the vehicles have rear rack for your luggage which leaves the inside of the vehicle uncluttered for you to move around freely and capture some great photos. Pop-up hatch roofs allow all passengers better game viewing, sightseeing, and photography. Due to a variety of factors, smoking is not permitted in the safari vehicles. However, regular stops can be arranged for you to enjoy your cigarette.
The van has 8 seats although Bruno Safaris allows maximum of six passengers in each van thus each passenger is guaranteed a window seat. You will be picked up from Nairobi hotel or airport and drive to Samburu. You will drive north to Samburu National Reserve to arrive at around 13:00 in time for lunch. You will wake up to an early morning game drive after which you will have your breakfast. Then, you will drive to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch. Lunch will be at Carnivore Restaurant afterwards drop off at your respective Nairobi hotel or airport.
This safari will take you from Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve. It is one of the lesser-known national parks, but is nevertheless teeming with life. Situated alongside the Ewaso Nyiro River, there is plenty to attract wildlife from the surrounding savanna plains.
The reserve within the ecological zone V, which is classified as arid and semi-arid with a moisture index of 42 to 57, indicates that evapo-transpiration is greater than available moisture.
