You will spend your first night in the Outpost Lodge, followed by Machame Hut for your second night. Your third night will be at Shira Camp, and your fourth night will be at Barranco Camp. You will overnight at Karanga Camp on the fifth night, and at the Mweka Camp for the last night.
Day 1: Pick up from airport to Outpost Lodge
You will be picked up from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and then be transferred to Arusha town. The drive is about 50 kilometers from the airport, which is 45 minutes to the lodge. The lodge is closer to Mount Meru, which will give you the acclimatization you need to be ready for climbing Kilimanjaro. Stay and overnight at Outpost Lodge.
Day 2: Arusha to Mount Kilimanjaro
You will be transferred from your hotel via Machame village, where you will start to view Kilimanjaro in the distance. You will get to Machame gate where you will stop for registration. You will meet the rest staff before the start of the trek from there to the first camp. Stay and overnight Machame Hut.
Day 3: Machame to Shira 1
The path continues to ascend steeply through pleasant forest glades and giant heather to reach the Shira 1 campsite, where you will arrive in the afternoon. Upon arriving at the camp, you will get the time to do a short walk that will help you to acclimatize and maximize your chance to get to the top. Stay and overnight Shira Camp 1.
Day 4: Shira 1 to Barranco Camp
Today after breakfast, you will continue on your walk which will take four hours until you reach Barranco camp. This is an easy day as you are getting closer and closer to the peak. You can also take a short walk around the camp to acclimatize and be ready for the next day. Stay and overnight at Barranco Camp.
Day 5: Barranco to Karanga camp
After a leisurely breakfast, you will start walking to Karanga camp, which is about a three-hour walk, where you will witness a lot and great spots for taking photos as much as you can with beautiful and attracting peak just a few steps behind you. Stay and overnight at Karanga Camp.
Day 6: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp to the mountain summit
Today after the breakfast, you will continue to the base known as Barafu Camp, where you will arrive early for relaxation. You will wait for your time at night heading to the summit. Your guide will brief you as what to wear during summiting. The summit time normally starts at mid-evening and will take you about seven to eight hours getting at the summit and later down to Mweka Camp.
Day 7: Mweka camp to Outpost Lodge
Upon arriving at the Mweka gate, you will be handed your climbing certificate followed by a hot lunch at the gate. The team will be singing traditional songs as a victorious group followed by tipping. You will then be transferred to Outpost Lodge.

Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and stands at 5,895 meters, three degrees south of the equator. It is a dormant volcano and is comprised of three extinct volcanoes, Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira. It is surrounded by dense forests full of dazzling varieties of flora and fauna.
