During this safari, you will be staying at Tiger Residency Resort for nights one, two, and three. Deluxe air-conditioned accommodations will be available for your comfort. At Tiger Residency, there are 12 spacious and well-furnished rooms in a building and eight rooms in four cottages. Amenities include a multi-channel LED TV, private balconies, 24-hour running solar-heated hot and cold water, 24 hours of high-speed Wi-Fi, a garden, and a private parking facility. There are 20 air-conditioned double rooms with attached bathrooms.


Day 1: Arrival day

After breakfast, you will be picked up from Kathmandu or Pokhara and driven to Chitwan National Park. The ride will take about five or four hours. Upon arrival at the resort, lunch will be served. Later in the afternoon, an experienced guide will accompany you to an ethnic Tharus Village visit on an ox cart. There, you will have the chance to observe the daily lives of the locals and get to know their culture and tradition which is an interesting experience.

The surrounding farmland and villages have a pulse of its own, giving it a sense of timelessness. Afterward, you will be taken to the elephant stable for a short briefing on the elephants by the naturalists. You will also visit the sunset viewpoint and the visitor center for more insight of the Chitwan wildlife, flora, and fauna. Thereafter, you will be transferred to the resort. In the evening, there will be a Tharu stick dance cultural program. Dinner will be served at the restaurant. You will stay overnight at the resort.

Day 2: Chitwan National Park

In the morning, you will have a wake-up call at dawn. After breakfast, there will be a ride on a traditional dug-out canoe and on that silent canoeing in Rapti River, you will get an opportunity to view aquatic birds and see animals on the river banks.

Bird watching will take you to the deep forest to spot different spices of birds like the waterfowl, Brahminy ducks, pintails, bar-headed geese, cormorants, woodpeckers, hornbills, peacocks, peahens, floricans, and red-headed trogons as per their migratory seasons. Then, you will begin your jungle nature walk accompanied by a trained naturalist to trace animals.

The latter will let you walk some distance ahead to check on animal movement on the trail ahead. You are advised to closely follow the instructions of the naturalist at all times. Afterward, you will visit the Elephant Breeding Center followed by elephant bathing in the Rapti River. You are most welcome to join in giving the elephants a scrub. In the afternoon, lunch will be served and you can have a short rest. Later, you will go for more animal sightings through a jeep safari. Dinner will be served at the restaurant. You will stay overnight resort.

Day 3: Chitwan National Park

In the morning, you will have a wake-up call at dawn. A naturalist will take you for a bird watching tour over the banks of the river in Chitwan National Park.

Then, you will return to the hotel for breakfast. In the afternoon, lunch will be served and you can have a short rest. In the evening, you will go for a jeep drive in Chitwan National Park to see more animals and birds that includes the one-horned rhinoceros, deer, monkey, different birds, and so much more. You will return to the hotel. Dinner will be served at the restaurant. You will stay overnight at the resort.

Day 4: Departure day

In the morning, you will have a wake-up call at dawn. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and you will depart Chitwan National Park for your onward destination.

This safari will take place at Chitwan National Park in Nepal. Chitwan National Park was declared UNESCO Natural Heritage Site in 1979. The park is situated in south-central Nepal, covered with deciduous forests overlooking the floodplains of the Narayani, Rapti, and Reu rivers. The park headquarters in Kasara is a 21-kilometer drive from Bharatpur which is 20 minutes by air or 146 kilometers by road from Kathmandu.

In the park, there are many resorts, hotels, and lodges to accommodate. The famous park offers a wilderness of rich ecosystem that includes mammals, birds, reptiles, and water animals of several kinds. The highlights of the park are the 500 Asian one-horned rhinoceros and some hundred nocturnal Royal Bengal tigers that live in the dense forests of the park.

You will find towering trees and twisting vines, of pre-historic rhino and lumbering elephants, crocodile, python, deer, brilliantly colored birds, and if you are fortunate, the superb Royal Bengal tiger. Sharing home are other animals like the Rhesus monkey, grey langur, deer, leopards, wild cats, and more.

It is one of the finest wildlife reserves in Asia, located in the plains of Nepal Terai. The park, with a total area of 932 kilometers, is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the home to many animals, birds, and plant species that includes the one-horned rhino, different kinds of deer, sloth bears, leopards, tigers, crocodiles, and monkeys.

It is also home to as many different species of butterflies, insects, over 450 sorts of colorful and endangered birds, and an incredible variety of other fauna and flora. In Chitwan, you are not required to drive vast distances to actually notice animals in the wild. You will come across many animals like various kinds of deer, the one-horned rhino, monkeys, and if you are lucky, sloth bears, leopards, and even tigers.

Please book your flight to arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM). It is the only international airport in Nepal. KTM has direct air link with Osaka, Shanghai, London, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, Delhi, Dubai, Bombay, and Calcutta. Lufthansa, Royal Nepal Airlines (RNAC), Air India, Singapore Airlines, and Thai are the airlines that carry most of the foreign travelers into Kathmandu and if you buy tickets from any other airlines, you will probably connect with one of those airlines for the final leg of your flight.
