Bongo Safari has organized this Big Five safari from the moment you start thinking about going on a vacation to Kenya. Right from the time you start thinking about the questions like which company is trustworthy, is your safety guaranteed, are your kids safe, and is it a good idea to take kids on such a vacation, etc., Bongo Safari wants to make sure they can provide the right information at the right time to everyone who needs it. Through this safari, you will be taken to Amboseli National Park and Tsavo East National Park in Kenya.

Voi Wildlife Lodge can accommodate up to 300 guests. All rooms have spacious en-suite bathrooms and are furnished in African decor that is replicated throughout the lodge. The luxury rooms comprise two four-poster beds and views of the Savannah, which one can enjoy from the comfort of one’s balcony or terrace.
The camp comprises 20 spacious tents, some of which accommodate up to 4 people, all with verandas overlooking the Athi River. All tents are-en suite with hot running water and the décor is traditional Swahili architecture.
Strategically situated safari lodge, in one of the world’s largest game park - the Tsavo National Park - Voi Safari Lodge stands high above the town of Voi overlooking a vast expanse of the African Bush. It is 160 kilometers from Mombasa City. You can simply watch the herds of wild animals roam beneath you or you can get closer by a network of access roads reaching into many corners of this 11,666 square kilometer park.
This lodge has rustic, well spaced cottages meander through the vast expanse of their mature gardens and house with 83 guest rooms. The rooms are all brightly decorated with Maasai themed wall murals. Each room has been purpose built to contain either one or two queen sized beds as well as a veranda. They also have a luxuriously appointed, extremely spacious, two bedroom Presidential Suite with a private dining room and an attached kitchenette, also with a huge lounge and a quite simply vast veranda.
The camp has several facilities and services to ensure you have a comfortable stay. These include two bars, a main dinning room, an open-air dinning area and tree house coffee deck. Also available is a video room, guest lecture facilities, swimming pool and curio shop. A fleet of four-wheel drive vehicles with expert drivers is available at the camp.
The camp has a resident nurse and medical clinic. Power is supplied by generator from 5.00 a.m. to 9.00 a.m., 12.00 p.m. to 3.00 p.m., and from 6.00 p.m. to 12.00 a.m. New additions at Kilima Safari Camp include new conference rooms, driver / guide accommodation and a new dinning area overlooking the Talek River.
This road safari will depart and terminate in Mombasa, Kenya. You will be taken to Tsavo East and Amboseli national parks. The transport during your safari will be a 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser (Jeep). Your driver or guide has many years of experience doing safaris / tours. They are trained on how to handle both vehicles and wildlife. They can take good care of the elderly and children as well. They are also good animal and bird spotters and command good English language so rest assured you are in safe and good hands.
You will be picked up from your Mombasa hotel in the morning and drive along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway to Tsavo East National Park. This will take you two hours depending on traffic. Before entering the park, you shall have a stopover of maybe 30 minutes to freshen-up. You will enter the Tsavo East through Bachuma Gate then start searching for Big Five (lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, and leopard).
You will then stop briefly at Aruba Dam to see animals drinking water and thereafter pass-by the Kanderi Swamp for another opportunity to see wildlife / animals. Then, proceed to Voi Wildlife Lodge for checking in and lunch. After lunch, you can decide to go for swimming or have a siesta. At 16:00, it's time for the evening safari game drive, searching for the warthog, ostrich, jackal, and many other different animals. Come back to your lodge at 18:00 for dinner and overnight.
You will leave Tsavo East for Amboseli at 07:00 with a safari game viewing drive, then join the Mombasa-Nairobi highway and drive for 280 kilometers to Iremito gate. Check in the park and start your game drive on your way to Amboseli Sopa Lodge for check in and lunch. Leave at 16:00 for an evening safari game drive in search for the Big Five and on a clear day, you can catch views of the snow on Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa. It lies in Tanzania, the neighbor of Kenya. You will then return back to the lodge at 18:00 for dinner and overnight.
You will take an early breakfast at 06:00 with your luggage leave the lodge at 06:30 and then have a morning game drive in search for the hippo, giraffe, wildebeest, and the Big Five. You will then leave the park at 08:00 to go back to Mombasa. Stop at Voi town for lunch at 12:30. After lunch, proceed to Mombasa arriving at around 16:00.
This safari will take you from Mombasa to Tsavo East and Amboseli national parks. In Tsavo East, you will spend your night at Voi Wildlife Lodge. Nestled in the heart of elephant country, Voi Wildlife Lodge is located in the Savannah grasslands of Tsavo East, Kenya, just 5 kilometers off the main highway connecting the capital Nairobi to Mombasa.
Officially opened in 2003, the lodge is situated on a 25-acre site on the boundary of Tsavo East National Park, one of Kenya's largest game parks with spectacular views of nearby volcanic outcrops, such as the Kasigau, Sagalla, and Mwakingali Hills.
Tsavo is divided into Tsavo East and Tsavo West and is located midway between Nairobi and Mombasa (Kenya's coast). Here, you will find volcanic hills and spring fed pools of water, rivers, and more a variety of wildlife and bird species. Designed to blend unassumingly into the surrounding environment, the lodge boasts a natural waterhole often attracting big game, including elephant, lion, cheetah, and buffalo.
Your second night will be spent at Amboseli Sopa Lodge. Set in 200 acres of private land with a rustic charm all of its own, the lodge nestles in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro which, at almost six thousand meters, is Africa’s highest and most famous snow-capped mountain. All forms of wildlife still abound in this wilderness which continues all the way to the Amboseli National Park, an easy twenty-minute drive away from the lodge. The park offers a stunning views of sunsets and sunrises of Mount Kilimanjaro and an array of wildlife.
You will be served daily meals during your safari. International cuisine is available at all the lodges you will be staying. Special dietary requirements are catered for throughout Africa if you need. Please give Bongo Safari advanced notice so that they can make arrangements with the lodges you are scheduled to stay at.
