Daily itinerary
Day 1: Pick up at the hotel and drive to Masa Mara Reserve
You will be picked up at your hotel of stay in Nairobi at 7:00 a.m. and your driver guide will meet and greet you and afterward, escort you to the car and commence to drive southwest to Masa Mara. Have a stopover at the Great Rift Valley view point where you will have a breathtaking view of the floor of the Rift Valley. Arrive for check in and hot lunch at the lodge. After lunch, visit Maasai village where you will interact with Maasai and learn their way of life and culture. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Jambo Mara Safari Lodge.
Day 2: Full day exploring Masa Mara Reserve
This day, you will depart after an early breakfast to Maasai Mara Reserve for full day game viewing drives. Picnic lunches will be served as you relax under a tree as you see the vast landscape and its beauty. Spend the whole day looking for the big five and Bison Safaris is hopeful you will see almost all if not all of the big five among many animals. This is the day you also go to the Mara River from where they hope you will have a chance to witness the great wildebeest migration as it happens. Thereafter, you will return to the camp for dinner and overnight at Jambo Mara Safari Lodge.
Day 3: Spend the full day exploring Maasai Mara Reserve
This day, you will depart after an early breakfast to Maasai Mara Reserve for full day game viewing drives or you can enjoy an early morning hot-air balloon safari at an extra cost of 480 USD. Spend the whole day looking for the big five as you enjoy picnic lunches relaxing under a tree as you see the vast landscape and its beauty. You will also visit the Mara River from where they hope you will have a chance to witness the great wildebeest migration as it happens. Thereafter, you will return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay at Jambo Mara Safari Lodge.
Day 4: Drive to Nairobi
After breakfast, check out and commence to drive to Nairobi with lunches on the way. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your hotel of stay in Nairobi.
About the safari
The great wildebeest migration is one of the most significant and dramatic wildlife spectacles on the planet. The migration is a continuous movement of wildebeest and other herbivores between Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park and Kenya’s Maasai Mara, covering a distance of around 800 kilometers.
