    Maasai Mara National Reserve

Masai Mara National Reserve is the most popular tourism destinations in Kenya. The reserve is located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland. Wildlife tends to be concentrated on the reserve’s western escarpment. This reserve is regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas. Moreover, there have been about 95 species of mammals, amphibians, and reptiles as well as over 400 birds species recorded in Maasai Mara National Reserve. Nowhere in Africa has the abundant wildlife as this reserve. For this reason, visitors hardly miss seeing the Big 5 (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino).

The annual wildebeest’s migration alone involves over 1,5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. The phenomenal wildebeest migration which is a spectacular event in this reserve is the 8th wonder of the world. Millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti National Park migrate in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predator of the savannah such as lions, cheetahs, wild dogs, jackals, hyenas, and vultures.

"On the scale that you suggest, I’d rate our experience at 10 points, in terms of services provided. Our family trip and our guide made it very special and memorable for us. The guide was extremely polite and flexible with our timing. The camps that were offered to us also contributed to our best possible experience. They were clean, welcoming, and supplied with great food."

"Outstanding and over the board service from Bison Safaris. They helped us in a big way when we lost our luggage. They followed up with the airline and organized once the luggage was in Kenya to be brought to Maasai Mara for us. What was promised is what we got. We stayed at Mara Sarova in the club tents. We had amazing tents, great game viewing, and the food was really good too. We recommend Bison Safaris and also a big thank you to Maggie for helping us out with the luggage issue. We appreciated every effort you put in to make us comfortable all through and the follow up you did to check if all was okay."

"Bison Safaris (Maggie in particular) stood out for being the only group that actually provides a response proving she read my email in its entirety. I was traveling alone and had different date options. Only Maggie provided a quote based on my specific situation. And her price was great!"
