Day 1: Madrid - Escuain - Escalona

You will arrive at your destination at noon and go up to the spectacular Escuain Gorge where it would not be surprising to be able to watch the desired lammergeier because in this area there are two breeding pairs. You will spend the afternoon at the viewpoints, awaiting its show-up and watching griffon vultures, Egyptian vultures, short-toed eagles, peregrine falcons, hobby and alpine swifts.

Day 2: Valley of Chisagües - Valley of Pineta

On this day you will visit the two valleys of unparalleled beauty. In the first valley, the population of alpine marmots that can be observed is of particular importance, and among birds there are the golden eagle, water pipit, Northern wheatear, and citril finch. In the second valley, you will focus on the search for the deeper, black woodpecker, and common bullfinch. Also, an added value of these two areas are the flowers and butterflies that can be observed and photographed.

Day 3: Hide scavengers - Plana Canal - The Inclusa Defile

In the morning, the participants who have registered will leave to have a day of hide in which they can photograph the Egyptian vulture, griffon vulture, black and red kites, crow, and, hopefully, the lammergeier. The rest of the participants will go up to the alpine floor in La Plana, making short stops to observe the common cuckoo, red-backed shrike, and common crossbill.

On the alpine floor, you can see the rock thrush, red-billed and yellow-billed choughs, snowfinch, ortolan bunting, and, with luck, the grey partridge. You can also see the alpine marmot and, during the whole route, birds of prey including the lammergeier. In the afternoon, those who have stayed in the hide will be picked up and they will go to the Defile of La Inclusa to continue seeing more birds of prey.

Day 4: La Valle - Madrid

On this day you will get up early to go up to La Valle to be able to watch a large number of lammergeiers of different ages in addition to other necrophagous birds. In the afternoon, you will return to Madrid.

Note: For other different dates do not hesitate to send an inquiry to Birding Trekking and Nature. Punctuality is very important. The maximum courtesy waiting period will be 15 minutes. Once this period has elapsed, the excursion will begin and participants who have not presented themselves will not be entitled to any refund.

Spaces are limited. You are recommended to make a reservation as soon as possible. Transportation will be in vans with a capacity of eight passengers (including the guide) and meets all the requirements for transport of passengers of the European Union.
