Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
Spread your wings and mingle with your tour leader over a welcome dinner.
Meals: Dinner
Day 2: Birding Cozumel endemics
You will focus to enjoy three endemics and many more resident, migrant, and vagrant birds Vireo, wren, emerald hummingbird and if lucky, Cozumel Thrasher (believed to be extinct).
Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 3: Motmots in Mayan Ruins
You drive to archeological site to explore the Mayan ruins in search of black-headed trogon, turqoise browed motmot, Yucatan vireo, Yucatan jay, and more in addition to learning from Mayan dinasty.

Day 4: Long day birding among world's heritage site, oldest astronomical observatory in the world
This day, you will go birding. Schrub euphonia, ant tanager, bath falcon and others will be present. When they take a rest, you will enjoy the oldest observatory in the world and largest calendar, all built with stone. Considered a world's heritage site, it is a home to Yucatan gnatcatcher, Yucatan flycatcher, and many more birds. In the evening, you will enjoy the Potoo and Yucantan nightjar.

Day 5: EK-Balam to discover Angels and cenote to enjoy owls
Enjoy birding canivet's emerald, Mottled owl, and ferruginous pygmy owl among others. You will visit a cenote hole in the ground, caused by a meteor, now full with crystal water. The area is home of Turquoise-browed Motmot and many more birds (bring your bathing suite and towel in case you want to swim in the cenote).

Day 6: Biosphere reserve - birds sanctuary 1 (by land)
Enjoy a visit to a birding biosphere reserve with thousands of birds to encounter many endemics and subspecies.

Day 7: Biosphere reserve - bird sanctuary 2 (by boat)
Enjoy a visit to a birding biosphere reserve with thousands of birds and other wildlife, beautiful vistas, and crystal waters. Bring your bathing suit if you want to refresh in the crystal waters.
Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 8: Birding in Mayan community, around monkeys and perhaps jaguar and Mayan ruins
You will visit a Mayan community. Different hawks will be present today, also different woodpeckers such as lineated, golden-fronted and Yucatan woodpeckers, but also Mayan anttrush. You will encounter ruins along the way and keep birding for ones you could have missed.
Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 9: Relax, morning birding, and farewell dinner
Spend the day at leisure. Enjoy birding with a light walk in the surroundings. You will then get transferred to the next venue and farewell dinner.
