Karibu! You will be warmly received in Kenya's capital, Nairobi and transferred to your hotel. The Kiswahili language here is often easily understood as many people mix the vernacular with English words. In fact, more people in Kenya speak English than in any other African country.
After an early breakfast, you will set off on an exciting sightseeing tour of Nairobi, giving you a chance to learn about this city’s beauty and history. You will stop at Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage to interact with the gentle and fascinating animals living here, visit the giraffe center, and explore the Karen Blixen museum, the former home of the famous Danish author of Out of Africa.
Following a hot lunch, you will drive to Lake Naivasha located north-west of Nairobi. En-route, you will stop to enjoy the beautiful views of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment. Lake Naivasha is a stunning freshwater lake in Kenya. The waters of the lake draw a great range of game to its shores. Giraffes wander among the acacia, buffalos wallow in the swamps, and colobus monkeys call from the treetops while the lake’s large hippos population sleep the day out in the shallows.
Following breakfast, you will journey to Lake Nakuru National Park which lies on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. This scenic lake’s abundance of algae attracts a vast number of flamingos and other water birds. The park also provides the rare opportunity to see white and black rhinos - the latter of which is a critically endangered species. You will then spend the morning and afternoon on a game drive through this stunning region, returning to your lodge in the late afternoon for dinner.
Before leaving Lake Naivasha, you may have the opportunity to enjoy an optional add-on excursion (priced at 60 USD per person) which is a morning boat safari along the lake. Game viewing from the water provides a unique perspective as we spy giraffes, hippos, and an extraordinary variety of bird life from our boat. Afterwards, you will traverse the Great Rift Valley and ascend to its western rim into the Maasai Land.
In this stunning landscape, red-clad Maasai warriors tend their herds of cattle among the wildlife, admirably unmoved by the presence of large predators. Every summer, over two million animals migrate to the Mara from Serengeti. After lunch at the lodge, you will embark on one of the most exciting game drives African safari trips can offer with the opportunity to see lions, leopards, cheetahs, and a large variety of herbivores.
This will be an adventurous day ahead as you will enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the spectacular Masai Mara Game Reserve. Blessed with a permanent water supply, Masai Mara has a year-round population of plains game. All of the Big Five animals - elephants, buffalos, lions, leopards, and rhino - are quite common on this scenic grassland.
Option here as well is to take an amazing early morning balloon safari followed by champagne breakfast right in the middle of the park, giving you a bird’s eye view of the vast Mara. This is a popular activity and space on the balloons is limited. Please contact Bestway Tours & Safaris to pre-book.

You will also discover the Seronera River which flows through the park, providing habitats for a variety of birds, mammals and reptiles. In the afternoon, you will proceed to Nabi Hill Gate where you will enjoy your picnic lunch before journeying to the Malanja depression and entering the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Today, you will explore the Ngorongoro Conservation Area which spans vast expanses of highland plains, savanna, savanna woodlands, and forests. Established in 1959 as a multiple land use area, the region features wildlife coexisting with semi-nomadic Maasai pastoralists practicing traditional livestock grazing.
