You will travel down the Skeleton Coast before arriving in Swakopmund. On day five, you can enjoy some free time and drive through the Namib Desert to reach the camp for the night. You will visit Dead Vlei on day six, a large expanse of bleached cracked clay and trees, an amazing view against the backdrop of the huge dunes and then visit the beautiful Dune 45 and the Sesriem Canyon. On day seven, tracking wild cheetahs in the N/a’ankuse Namib Conservation Center welcomes you before returning to Windhoek.

Day 1: Windhoek to N/a’ankuse Lodge feeding tour

Today you will be picked up at the airport or bus terminal (please be sure to arrive prior to 1:00 p.m.) and transferred to the Chameleon Guesthouse where you will have time to get settled in. In the afternoon, you will join the N/a’ankuse Lodge feeding tour where you can see lions, leopards, wild dogs, and other large game that are protected here because they are unable to be released into the wild.

You will learn about these fascinating animals and then relax back at the guesthouse. At night, you will have a dinner on your own at the restaurant of your choice. Staying overnight in a twin share room with a private bathroom is provided.

Day 2: Travel to Halali, Etosha National Park

You will be ready this morning for your 7:30 a.m. pre-departure briefing and departure. Bamba Experience will board your vehicle and depart Windhoek en route to Etosha National Park, making a short stop at Otjiwarongo for a light lunch. You will start your afternoon game drive at the Anderson Gate of Etosha and begin searching for animals as you drive leisurely through the park, making stops at waterholes where you might have the chance to see abundant populations of zebra, giraffe, elephant, rhino, and different antelope species.

You will arrive your lodge as the sun goes down and get settled into your rooms with a private bathroom. After enjoying some free time to visit the floodlit waterhole, where you might have the chance to see some big game, you will have your dinner around the campfire and get to bed early tonight.

Day 3: Excursions around Etosha National Park

You will start your day off early with a game drive at dawn to see predators at their most active moment of the day. After that, you will visit several waterholes and then make your way back to Halali for a breakfast this morning. Boarding the vehicle again for a mid-morning game drive to the “great white” Etosha Salt Pan, an expansive 4,500-square-kilometer “saline desert” where you can walk around and take pictures is a highlight today.

You will watch out for wild animals on your drive back to Halali where you will have lunch and some free time to take a refreshing swim in the pool or relax by the waterhole. An afternoon game drive to traverse the park today en route to Okaukuejo, stopping at waterholes and scenic points along the way will be your next activity. Tonight you will sleep in twin share permanent tents with private bathrooms. Dinner will be prepared by your guide and then it is lights out until tomorrow.

Day 4: Travel to Swakopmund

Today you will rise early for a quick breakfast and departure from your lodge at 7:30 a.m. You will travel through the beautiful and dramatic landscapes of Damaraland with the opportunity to meet the interesting Herero artisan women who sell handicrafts to support their families. Then, you will have lunch on the roadside with views of the Brandberg Mountain, Namibia’s tallest, where you can awe at the harsh environment that many animals and people call home.

Continuing your drive down the Skeleton Coast passing by a shipwreck before you arrive the seaside town of Swakopmund in the afternoon. You can enjoy some free time to walk around town and choose a restaurant where you can have dinner on your own this evening (dinner is not included). You will stay overnight in a twin share accommodation with a private bathroom.

You will take a free morning to visit Swakopmund’s museum or the aquarium (optional activity at your own leisure) or choose to go for an exciting adventure activity in the desert such as a two-hour sand-boarding experience for the young at heart. Then you will be picked up at 11:15 a.m. (or 10:15 a.m. in winter) for a 12:00 p.m. departure from Swakopmund with the rest of your group. You will hit the road again and drive through the Namib Desert to reach your campsite this evening.

After passing through the Kuiseb Pass and Solitaire town, you will enjoy the views of the Naukluft mountains from your camp and take some time to go for a short walk or go for a swim in the pool. Dinner will be prepared by your guide and you will stay in twin rooms or permanent tents with private bathrooms tonight.

Day 6: Excursions around the Namib Desert camp near Sesriem

Today you will rise early for a quick breakfast and depart the camp around dawn so you can reach the park entrance at sunrise. Then, you will drive down an ancient river-bed lined by towering sand dunes to reach the parking lot where you will transfer to a four-by-four shuttle. After riding into the Sossusvlei area, you can spend the morning enjoying the serenity of this region as you walk around on foot.

Next, you will go into the Dead Vlei with its large surreal expanse of dried and cracked clay floor with dried up dead trees surrounded by giant sand dunes before walking back or take a four-by-four shuttle to the parking lot where you will transfer to your vehicle that will take you back towards your camp. Along the way, you will have the chance to stop at the famous Dune 45 for a short walk around the base if you are feeling adventurous hike to the top for spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding desert.

You will return back to Sesriem to visit one of the region’s few permanent water sources at the Sesriem Canyon before arriving back to the lodge in the late afternoon after a full day of activity. Having a dinner tonight with your group and then getting a good night’s rest in twin share rooms or permanent tents with private bathrooms will end up your day.

Day 7: Return to Windhoek

You will rise early again this morning for a quick breakfast before departing to Solitaire Guest Farm, where you will have the chance to track wild cheetahs with a professional biologist guide at the N/a'ankuse Namib Conservation Center.
