This trip will give you a chance to experience wildlife safari in stunning national parks of Northern Tanzania; including Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro, and Serengeti, and at the end, you will have four days exploring/relaxing on the untouched beaches in the Spice Island of Zanzibar.
The guest rooms at Eileen's Trees Inn are set in beautiful tropical gardens and you’ll find a bar, small lounge area, and dining room in a rustic wooden building reminiscent of a treehouse. There are 20 rooms en-suite single, double, triple and family room is possible on request. The rooms are spacious and comfortable privately situated throughout lush gardens. Each room has twin beds or a large (queen size) bed with mosquito nets. All rooms have a writing desk and seating on the veranda. The bathrooms have a large shower with hot water on demand. Bottled drinking water is provided in every room.

Listen to the sounds of nature and simply take in this once-in-a-lifetime experience of being in the wildlife setting of Africa. Serengeti Migration Camp has ten canvas tents, all furnished with en-suite bathrooms, flush toilets, and other essential amenities. There is a separate tented camp for the dining area and next to it is the lounge and bar area. All these are accessible in a few steps under a soaring canopy of acacias, in the front of the camp. Your camp is safe and secure with 24/7 staff.
Ideally located on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater rim, Rhino Lodge offers a perfect base from which to explore the Ngorongoro Crater and its surroundings. With 24 comfortable en-suite rooms, a cozy living space, friendly local staff, and generous African-inspired meals, Rhino Lodge welcome guests to Africa's most remarkable game park.
There are 24 guest rooms, all with a veranda overlooking a stretch of the high mountain forest. Each room has its own shower, toilet, and hand basin. To keep away the cold, each room has a wood-burning stove, and hot water bottles can be filled if you want one. In the bar/dining room, there are two large fires which are a natural focus where the guests like to meet and exchange stories of the day.
Outpost Lodge has 28 clean and comfortable rooms, all with bathrooms en-suite, satellite television, safes, fans, mosquito nets, soap, shower gel, shampoo, kettles with coffee and tea. The rooms are a mixture of singles, doubles, twins, triples, and one quadruple. All the rooms are in a garden setting and have outdoor seating areas. The accommodation is rustic, with an emphasis on clean, comfortable, and affordable lodging, and a special ambiance of its own.
Cleanliness is of prime concern. Water is a concern countrywide and while they do have plenty of storage, the municipal water supply is extremely erratic and can sometimes cause unforeseen shortages. They try hard to cope with the system but are caught out occasionally. Due to this countrywide water shortage, electricity can also be erratic due to the poor hydropower stoppages. They offer daily laundry services for a minimal fee. Due to water shortages, the washing of clothing in the rooms is not possible. They also welcome disabled travelers and have a room that is completely accessible.
Decorated with wood carved furniture, and offering a Swahili four-poster bed, each room features a seating area with television, air conditioning, and a bathroom with shower and a traditional hammam bath. Most of the rooms feature a balcony with sea or pool views. The hotel's restaurant offers local as well as international cuisine.
Along an Indian Ocean beach, this unfussy hotel is an 11-minute walk from Nungwi Beach, 2 km from the turtles at Mnarani Natural Aquarium and 58 km from the ferry terminal in vibrant Stone Town.
Low-key rooms feature wood furnishings, ceiling fans and mosquito nets, as well as balconies or patios with garden views. Upgraded rooms, some with 4-poster beds, add air-conditioning and pool or ocean views; some also have minifridges or flat-screen TVs.
Amenities include beach access, and an outdoor pool surrounded by a terrace overlooking the ocean. There's an airy cafe, and an open-air, thatched-roof restaurant. Parking is available.
After your breakfast at 8:30 a.m., you will drive from Arusha with your packed lunch to Manyara Park for game viewing. At 1 p.m., you will take your lunch in the park picnic area, evening drive to your lodge/campsite for dinner and stay overnight at Eileen’s Tree Inn. Lunch and dinner will be provided for today.
After breakfast at 8 a.m., drive from Lake Manyara National Park with your packed lunch and game en-route to the Vast Serengeti Plains via Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Late afternoon, Backpackers Safaris will drive you for dinner and stay overnight at Acacia Tented Camp. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided for today.
After breakfast leave with your packed lunch for a game drive on the Serengeti Park acacia Savannah in the central to the east region. Around 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m., break for your picnic lunch; thereafter proceed with tour afternoon game drive. You will have your evening dinner and stay overnight at Acacia Tented Camp. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided for today.
After breakfast with your packed lunch, drive and go on a game drive en-route to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It is your choice whether you pass by Olduvai Gorge a historical site whereby the early man lived and can also pass by the Maasai boma if you are interested in the real African life tradition and culture. You will then have dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided for today.
After breakfast, descent into the crater for a tour around the unbroken caldera that encloses the wildlife. Lunch Ngorongoro, after lunch, is your chance to visit Maasai boma, and evening drives to Karatu for your dinner and stay overnight at Eileen’s Tree Inn. Lunch and dinner will be provided for today.
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park for your game drive. At 1 p.m., take your lunch in the park picnic area, later afternoon drive to Arusha for your dinner, and overnight at Arusha Outpost Lodge. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided for today.
By flight (Precision Air or Similar) depart Arusha at approximately 9 a.m. and arrive in Zanzibar at 10:15 a.m., meet and greet at the airport and transfer to your hotel in town Tembo House Hotel for overnight. Breakfast will be provided for today.
The morning after breakfast at 9:30 a.m., pick up from the hotel to spice farm where you will see different types of spices and learn how they plant and how to use them. Afterward, you will see Mr. Butterfly. After the tour, you will have lunch and after your meal, Backpackers Safaris will drive you to stone where you will see the historical site, dally market, narrow street, and to experience the local life of the island after the tour will have time to do shopping, then back to hotel overnight Amani Beach Bungalow Resort or something similar. Breakfast will be provided for today.
The morning after breakfast at 9:30 a.m., you will be picked up to guided the Prison Island tour whereby you will be taken to the Stone Town where you will find your special boat to Prison Island. In Prison Island, you will find the gent tortoises and old historical prison where slaves were kept after remaining from the market. Then, you will have lunch at Freddy Mercury Restaurant, back to the hotel, and stay overnight at Amani Beach Bungalow Resort or something similar. Breakfast will be provided for today.
Transferred to the airport for flight back to your country.
During this trip, you will go to Prison Island and Stone Town in Zanzibar.
During this safari, most of your daily meals will be provided by Backpackers Safaris. On day five, breakfast will not be provided and on day seven to nine in Zanzibar, lunch and dinner will not be provided. Mineral water of 1.5 liters per person per day will be provided.
