Come and enjoy the best safari visiting the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Lake Nakuru known as the Pink Lake and Sweetwaters conservancy which boasts the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa. You will get to see the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya that shelters large numbers of rare and endangered species, as well as seeing a variety of animal and bird life at Samburu National Reserve.
During this safari tour, you will spend your nights in various accommodations across Kenya.
Located on the plains of Mount Kenya, the camp features thirty-nine luxury tents, each with its own private veranda overlooking the water hole. The central Rhino Restaurant is housed in the former manager's house of this once colonial farm and offers both regional and international cuisine.
Samburu game lodge is set in 10 acres of pristine riverine forest on the western bank of the Uaso Nyiro River within the Samburu National Reserve in northern Kenya at an altitude of 857 meters above sea level.
This hotel is a mid-range hotel located just outside Lake Nakuru National Park.
During your time in Maasai Mara, you will stay at a budget camp just outside the national park.
You will be picked up from the airport or hotel. Accommodation before the tour departs can be arranged at an extra cost.
Upon arrival, you will meet the representative and commence safari to the exquisite Sweetwaters Tented Camp in the secluded heart of the Ol pejeta Ranch and Rhino sanctuary. Lunch will be served at the camp. Sweetwaters is built on a private ranch and supports a large number of the game, which includes elephant, giraffe, etc. Only here you can have an excess of night games. You will have dinner and stay for the night at the luxurious Sweetwaters Tented Camp.
After breakfast, you will drive further north to Samburu Game Reserve. The game reserve is located high on the banks of the life-giving Uaso Nyiro River in the Shaba Game Reserve. Lunch will be served at the lodge. Your afternoon game viewing in the reserve will be filled with scenic beauty.
The reserve is renowned for its unique species of animals that include Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, beisa oryx, generuk, and the gravy’s zebra among others. Later, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Before dawn, the driver guide will be ready for the early morning search of hunting cats. Later, you will return to the lodge for normal breakfast and you can relax at the swimming pool before the next game drive late afternoon. All meals and overnight will be at the lodge.
After an early breakfast, you will depart from Shaba as you drive south through Isiolo, crossing the northernmost foothills of Mount Kenya, until Nanyuki town. Thereafter, you will head west to Nyahururu Falls, still known to many as Thomson's falls. After a brief stopover, you will drive southward to the next destination, Lake Nakuru, a home to a million of flamingos beautifully lining at its shores. An afternoon game drive around the lake shore will be the feature for the afternoon.
You will have dinner and stay for the night at a budget hotel.
Ypu will have early breakfast at the lodge and you will depart from flamingo-fringed Lake Nakuru. You will then proceed southwards at Maai Mahiu to ascend up to the top of the Mau Escarpment and proceed to Maasai Mara. Lunch will be served at the lodge. After lunch and some time to relax and perhaps take a dip in the pool, you will depart with the driver guide for an afternoon game drive in search of the big five.
As the sun starts to edge dip into the horizon, it will be a perfect time to photograph the beautiful Mara rolling plains. Don't forget that this is the right time to spot the shy leopard. You will have dinner and stay for the night at the Mara camp.
The day will start with an early morning game drive before dawn and later return to the lodge for breakfast and relax for the rest of the morning. You can also take a dip in the swimming pool. Later in the afternoon, you will return to the wilderness in search of games. You will have your lunch and dinner at the lodge.
After breakfast, take a drive back to Nairobi and arrive in time for lunch at one of the restaurants. Later in the evening, there will be optional dinner at Carnivore Restaurant at an additional cost. You will then be transferred to the airport for your flight home or your hotel in Nairobi.
During the safari, you will enjoy game drives in Samburu Game Reserve on the banks of the life-giving Uaso Nyiro River in the Shaba Game Reserve. There will be a stopover at Nyahururu Falls and you will continue your trip to enjoy game drives in Lake Nakuru, Maai Mahiu to ascend up to the top of the Mau Escarpment, and proceed to Maasai Mara.
During the safari tour, you will be served with daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Bottled drinking water will also be provided during the safari. Breakfast is not included on the first day of the tour and there will be no dinner on the departure day.
