Buhoma Community Rest Camp (Budget)

Buhoma Community Rest Camp is positioned just close to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with an inspiration of establishing an excellent lodge with high-quality services that suits both tourists and visitors. The bandas have a touch of an African architectural design and the six bandas are fully furnished with about four beds that will favor all groups of tourists. Participants will stay here for one night.

Lake Kitandara Camp (Mid-range)

Lake Kitandara Camp is suited contiguous to Bwindi Forest Impenetrable National park adjacent to the good-looking forest with great primates. The camp favors luxurious guests with entertainment that is got from the sweet birds. The environment is so conducive and friendly to all tourists.

The camp is designed with over 20 lavishness tents with standard facilities. The tents are cited after the Ugandan bird species. The construction of the camp has a natural setting that is liked by many tourists. The tents have well-furnished beds that look to give the best sound sleep once you are in the park. The facilities include bathrooms and toilets with warm and cold water for the visitors. Participants will stay here for one night.

The Gorilla Resort (Luxury)

The Gorilla Resort is such an amazing safari camp with a magnificent sight of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. It’s suited at Buhoma along with Bwindi Impenetrable Gorilla National Park beside the mountain.

The camp is enclosed with lavishness cottages in addition to the east Africa safari tents that are positioned on an eminent wooden platform providing a beautiful scenic view of the area. The wooden decks will definitely give you a perfect view of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest as well as River Munyaga. Participants will stay here for one night.

Program

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a home to over 320 mountain gorillas. The park also features many wildlife species including 130 mammals and 350 bird species for birding safari. The park lies in southwestern Uganda on the edge of the Rift Valley. It was gazetted in 1991 and converse 1160 meters to 2607 meters above sea level. The word Bwindi means dark, it is the oldest park which dates back over 25,000 years.

Day 1 - Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Park

You will start your journey after breakfast early in the morning and then drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for tracking. This journey is quite interesting with so much to see in the countryside and the beautiful hills that surround the area. A vehicle can be stopped at any time just in case you want to take photos. Have lunch in Mbarara.

You will then arrive in the park late in the afternoon and check in at your lodge, you will also be able to hear the sounds of the birds and water flowing through the forest as you relax depending on the accommodation of your choice. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort Lodge or Lake Kitandara Tented Camp or Buhoma Community Rest Camp.

Day 2 - Gorilla trekking in the rain tropical forest

You will wake up early in the morning and have your breakfast as you prepare to start your journey to greater experience. By 8:00 a.m., you will report to the headquarters for a briefing by the rangers as well as registration.

The guides will then lead you to track the gorillas through the bush pushing your way through the undergrowth and the thick creepers. When the gorillas are sighted, the visitors will be guided to within six meters of them and you will have a chance to sit around these great apes for a whole hour looking into their big eyes. These big giants are also powerful and can sometimes weigh over 250 kilograms.

The visitors are required a reasonable degree of fitness as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes, since the trek can take from half an hour to six hours depending on the movement of these lovely primates. You will have your packed lunch after the trek. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort Lodge or Lake Kitandara Tented Camp or Buhoma Community Rest Camp.

Day 3 - Departure

Have your breakfast early enough as you prepare for a transfer from Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to Kampala, having your lunch en-route, and arriving at your own hotel in the evening. End of safari.
