Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara Game Reserve

You will be meet by our representative/driver-guide at the the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) or your hotel/residence for tour briefing. Thereafter, start your drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve through the Rift Valley Escarpment. At the viewpoint, the guests may enjoy the breathtaking views of the Great Rift.

After a short stop, the guests will proceed straight to Masai Mara. "It’s one of the great wonders of the world in terms of animal migrations" as per ABC News' Good Morning America. Arrive at the camp in time for lunch. Spend the afternoon at leisure and later enjoy a game viewing in the reserve.

Day 2: Full day at Maasai Mara

Head toward the Mara River after breakfast in hopes for seeing the Wildebeest Crossing(July to October). Spend the full day exploring Maasai Mara in search of the Big Five. You will have picnic lunches in the reserve as you scale the Mara beauty. Return to the camp before dusk for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Full day at Maasai Mara

Head to the Mara River again with hopes of seeing the Wildebeest Crossing(July to October). If you have seen crossing yesterday, you can choose to return to the river or go around the Mara in search of the Big Five you have not spotted plus more of other resident wildlife. Again, you will have picnic lunches in the reserve as you scale the Mara beauty. Return to the camp before dusk for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Maasai Mara to Nairobi

Wake up at 6 a.m. to enjoy the last early morning game drive in Mara Reserve, return to the hotel for breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Thereafter commence your drive back to Nairobi, arrival time will be around 3 p.m. The driver will drop you at your Nairobi hotel/residence. Things to do (optional)

Balloon safari

On the second day, you can do a balloon safari in the early morning, followed by a champagne breakfast on the Mara Plains. Take to the skies for the ultimate Maasai Mara wildlife adventure, soaring in a hot air balloon over herds of game to the inner reaches of the Mara.

You'll ascend in the early morning, when winds are calmest. Your balloon can soar over the most inaccessible and undisturbed parts of the Mara, with only the intermittent whisper of the balloon's gas burners punctuating the silence of your majestic flight. Cost per person is 480 USD.

Masai Village visit

You can book a visit to a Maasai village on the second day. Cost per person is 30 USD.

Boat trip at Lake Naivasha

Stop by Lake Naivasha for an hour of hippo boat ride. Lake Naivasha has over 400 bird species and is inhabited by many hippos; during the boat ride, you will be able to move to close distances to the hippo and see their leisurely way of life. The captain of the boat will also serve as your tour guide. Cost is 20 USD per person.

Please book your flight to arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO). Transfer from and to the airport is included in the price. Arkman Safaris will pick you up and drop you off at the airport. If your arrival / departure date is different from the start / end date of the safari, it will cost USD 20 per person per way.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
